Another way to look at it would be that AQ grew out of US intervention against the USSR in Afghanistan in the 80s. Same goes for the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan (for the first time) that afforded a base for AQ
Or you could even argue that US intervention in the Middle East in general, including basing forces in KSA and elsewhere on the Arabian peninsula fueled AQ’s drive to expel infidels from the holy lands.
Obviously, opinions vary but the idea that 911 resulted from non-interventionism is not at all self-evident.

1. Killing 200 Russian soldiers in Syria
2. Destroying a Russian base in Syria.
He can and did talk to Russia carrying a big stick— that would be the neocon stick.

Never been a Levin fan. His warmongering on Ukraine has been terrible in my opinion. Not our issue (except that Progressive in the US caused it - my option) and we needs to seriously consider how we waste billions of dollars. We are broke an Europe is letting us still pay about 95% of this bill.
