Anti money laundrying? Do these govt dickwads have nothing better to do?
I’m about done with USAA. Real sick of online only banking. Hard to get cash when I want it. Been a customer since 2009. As soon as crypto develops a little more I don’t think I’ll need a bank anymore. I’m done with em.
The higher-ups at USAA have gone completely effing woke. Talk to nearly any b by employee here in San Antonio and you’ll hear the same thing. Fortunately, they still have THE best customer service, bar none, and the lowest premiums. 42-year member.
Colonel, USAF TJAGCR (Ret)
We’ve had their insurance since 1966. The requirement to be military has been so diluted to almost be non-existent. “So your great-great grandfather fought for the North in the War of Northern Aggression? No problem. Welcome to USAA.” /s (but only partly)
This thread needs to be pulled. The OP did a terrible job of posting. Probably on purpose.
Most of the replies do not realize this is not about USAA insurance, but USAA federal savings bank.
I served on active duty with some of the officers who retired and became members of the board of USAA. It’s just like any other inside organization. Lots of perks for the insiders and to hell with the so-called owners of the co-op. So where does the $60M come from? Do they print it or take it from the parent company?
I am glad you have good service from them. Mine has been pretty bad lately.
If you have an accident and the two parties have wildly different stories of what happened and one said they had dashcam video of the incident, it seems they might have some modicum of curiosity to at least perform some due diligence and want to see whose story lines up. The guy that is less than 21 yo or the guy that has had homeowners with them since 1988 and a member since 1976 if you count the time I was on my parents policy. Otherwise you can just call your long time member a liar and try to blow them off for 3 months before you bother to tell them you haven’t seen the video they sent day 1.
-rant off-
It’s probably more that USAA just failed to implement the policy properly. These reporting regulations might be as confusing as the tax code.
I no longer purchase insurance through USAA as their premiums are one of the highest I was quoted during my annual insurance review.
I have zero auto and homeowner claims and my wife and I have zero auto violations.
I asked the USAA rep why their quote was so much higher than Travelers, etc, and he said, “well, we offer concierge service with claims.”
I switched from USAA, recieved a better coverage package, and saved thousands.
I think their Home equity loan commercial is fraudulent. They have all these people saying they got 50, 60, 70,000 out of their house. They don't tell you it's a loan. They say build a pool for the kids?? It's not free money, it's a loan.
Oh good lord…..I screwed up and put something in the wrong place during my post, my apologies. Wasn’t intentional. Not taking credit for being the author. Not trying to liiiiiiiie. Just putting the info out to all the vets on this site. Have a great weekend.
USAA was always a fraud. Never were they ever the better price or service.
Exactly right.. .The company was better when it was Military Officers and their families only.
It doesn't take a Moderator badge to spot a liar.
I seem to do just fine without one.
Does that bother you?
Annoys me more than anything. But every once in awhile I like to point out things that piss me off. It was just your turn, I suppose.
