Yes, if you liked late 50’s Pontiac’s and Buick’s Highway Patrol was your show. I heard Brodrick Crawford was so toasted during filming they had to really be careful when he was driving.
That was a good year especially the 62. Remember True Lies test drive scene?
The Green Hornet’s Black Beauty!
Kato got all my attention. I started Tak Kwan Do after that. Hell Yes!!!
Yep....great movie...
Cool car but my eye keeps noticing the uneven gaps and color mismatch between the plastic fascia and the metal panels. Good old 1970s quality control! OTOH, that may be a stunt car that had a rough life.
Although I was usually looking at Diana's tight outfits instead of the cars. Mmmmm, Emma Peel...
Cool video of a cool car. Also cool that they reunited Connors w/ his car 40 years later.
Okay - I looked - I'll cast a vote for it.
90 replies. And everyone of them is wrong. All wrong.
The best cars on TV from the 1960s was Dragnet. Joe Friday and Bill Gannon tooling along in Los Angeles in their 1967 Ford Fairlane along with thousands of other cool cars from the 60s. Just can’t be beat.
Until we get to the 1970s and CHiPs premieres. Also in California with thousands more very cool cars from that era.
I agree. Great show. I even had the 45rpm of the theme song!
I dunno what it’s really called, but my wife and I call that backing up and swinging the car around “a Rockford”.
I know. I wasn’t sure though if the Rockford Files had better cars. The Avengers certainly had really small sports cars.
Cheers, mate! That’s what’s so lovely about commenting on the internet; no tonal context. You might be on to something though. Mebbe have to separate the question into 🇺🇸 and 🇬🇧 categories.
