thyroid issues. milk thistle helps produce thyroid hormones and Brazilian nuts

A lot of people cut back on salt which has a lot of iodine in it which is required for synthesis of thyroid hormones. They need to compensate for the loss of Iodine.
This article has some foods that might be helpful.

Thank-you! I’d like to be off of the med but at the same time I remember how bad I felt before I started taking them. I’ll study the article because if things keep going like they are going, I might not have a doctor. I prefer natural when it works.

“thyroid issues. milk thistle helps produce thyroid hormones and Brazilian nuts” (Milk thistle and Brazil nuts help...?)

T.C. (Steve) By the time you get your iodized salt, most of the iodine has sublimated away. (About 6 months.)

“...How much Bromide, Fluoride, and Chlorine are you being exposed to that is displacing your iodine?”

If you use a lot of raw cabbage products they can inhibit uptake of Iodine; (Cabbage, radishes, turnips.)

Its at least 1000 miles to the nearest coast. I have sardines occasionally, have sheets of seaweed in oriental soup, but I also take potassium Iodine drops. (I think same as Lugols solution. )

Good luck!
