A mask off Jack Dorsey went after CNN in a series of tweets in which the Twitter founder accused the legacy media network of deliberately creating division in society.
The controversy started when CNN’s Brian Stelter tweeted an article accusing Fox News host Tucker Carlson of “always selling the same thing…selling doubt.”
“And you all are selling hope?” Dorsey responded.
and you all are selling hope?

“They’re selling truth, which is hope-agnostic,” Democrat pollster Spiers tweeted. “It’s supposed to inform you, not make you feel some kind of way.”
However, Dorsey wasn’t having any of it and quickly shot back, “I know this from being on the streets of Ferguson during the protests and watching them try to create conflict and film it causing the protestors to chant “fuck CNN.”

When Dorsey was accused of “defending Tucker Carlson” (oh no, the horror), the Twitter founder responded that he was “not defending a thing” and simply “holding up a mirror.”
not defending a thing. holding up a mirror

Dorsey has been more vocal than ever before in recent days following the Twitter board, which he is about to step down from, desperately attempting to stop Elon Musk buying the platform.
On Saturday, Dorsey said the board’s attempt to block the takeover is typical of tactics that have “consistently been the dysfunction of the company.”
It’s very apparent that Dorsey has had a moral awakening in recent years in which he realizes how the regime has fully seized control of Twitter and weaponized it to monopolize truth and silence dissenting voices.
Dang! Jack sees the writing on the wall with a Dim slaughter ahead and what that will mean for Twitter. Don’t doubt for a moment Twitter board is crapping their collective pants right now.
And Twitter isn’t? I guess it is not promoting division if what you want is everyone to think exactly as you think or die.
CNN is selling truth?
If Twitter approves the takeover, Dorsey will make billions overnight.
Dorsey is still on the Twitter Board of Directors. I believe he isn’t stepping down until next month. So, he does get to vote on Musk’s offer.
Hypocrite!!
Nay...his buddy Elon got to him! HEY idiot you threatened the RICHEST MAN ON PLANET EARTH and now you want to play nice...SCREW YOU! Go get’em Elon sue the crap out of Twitter and expose them!! Make them pay!!
Right...I find this very strange. Not sure I trust this.
Well, the tweets themselves are embedded in the article, but people who copy/paste the article cannot copy the tweets. So they also include the text of the tweet in the body of the article itself.
What, is Dorsey getting ready to go into politics? That’s the modis operandi for a Leftist politician, blame others for your own actions and act like you’re on the side of good.
Oh I have no doubt he is phony. He may sense he is vulnerable in some legal sense and be trying to sound more moderate. Still, the irony of Twitter banning him would be juicy.
“So, he does get to vote on Musk’s offer.”
My question is: when do the common stockholders get to vote on Musk’s offer?
I think that is the real endgame for Musk. I would not be surprised if the reddit investment club crowd and crypto-millionaires are already quietly buying up twitter stock so they can combine their votes with Musk if this gets to a stockholder vote.
Exactly. Also, people living in 2022 are finally realizing they really don't want to identify with old hippies (some of them billionaires) stuck in 1971, and the various "victim groups" which comprise the Democrat Party.
And then there are the hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, of people who discover daily just how much they've been gaslighted by the Left over the past two years or so.
I got my ass spanked when I did that with my parents when I was little.
Someone slipped a red pill amongst his M&Ms?
“Well, the tweets themselves are embedded in the article, but people who copy/paste the article cannot copy the tweets. So they also include the text of the tweet in the body of the article itself.”
Hmmm...I don’t recall seeing the double-posting of comments quoted from other sources. Maybe that’s because Twitter is so ubiquitous that it crowds out other sources...or is it some law unique to Twitter?
Jack is an America-hating wannabe Muslim.
I think it’s unique to twitter because of the way tweets get embedded.
You’ll see some articles where they only embed the tweets and don’t quote them. In that case, when copied to a site like FR, the article will read something like:
“Yesterday, Famous Person #1 tweeted:
and then Famous Person #2 replied:
-——”
And you have no idea what either said unless you click the link to read the original article. So some places both embed the tweet and put a quote of the text of the tweet in the article itself.
But in this case it looks like whoever transcribed the article for FR also included a transcription of the tweets along with the quotes of the tweets.
[The left has gone too far, and is turning off too many people. Simple as that.]
If that ever happened, which I highly doubt, the ban would have already been worked out between him and Twitter beforehand. That's how phony he and Twitter are.
