A North Carolina medical school put one of its students 'on leave' after she tweeted about purposefully missing a man's vein while drawing his blood - an act apparently meant to punish the patient, who mocked her for wearing a pronoun badge that said 'She/Her.'
In a statement, Wake Forest University simply claimed the trainee doctor, Kychelle Del Rosario, had made an 'inaccurate statement' on social media.
'Wake Forest School of Medicine has completed a thorough review of the patient encounter with our medical student who recently made an inaccurate statement on social media,' the school wrote in a statement to 'Tucker Carlson Tonight' producer Gregg Re on Friday.
'The review determined that the student had no intention to harm the patient and followed Medical Center protocols The School and the student have agreed upon her taking an extended leave. During this time the student will not participate in any patient care activities.'
The university has not stated how long the 'extended leave' will be nor have they explained how they determined nature of the stabbing of the patient was accidental.
Wake Forest has also refused to state if the patient involved had been contacted about the incident.
The trainee doctor sparked outrage last month after she implied she had deliberately injured a man who mocked her by missing his vein during a blood draw.
She now claims she did so accidentally, and says a more qualified medical professional made the second blood draw attempt in line with existing procedures.
Wake Forest said an investigation found Del Rosario's claims on Twitter did not reflect the incident, adding she had followed the guidelines correctly.
They did not comment further on how they had established the facts of the case.

Never trust another Wake Forest graduate.
Move on. Nothing to see here. It was within it’s rights.

University is attempting to dodge a lawsuit by the patient by rewriting the facts and putting the student on leave.
Yeah, she did. Some people shouldn’t be doctors/nurses and she’s one of many.
Transvestites appear to be as violent as lesbians.
So why is ‘she’ or whatever on leave???
Bide time, get creative, be unmistakable.
Wish we could hear from the patient to see what he/she thought about it.
I lived in Winston-Salem and was a student at Salem College. I volunteered at the Brenner Children’s Hospital for several years, working in the intermediate care nursery.
NEVER would I EVER go to any hospital in Winston-Salem with abusers from WFU School of Medicine just waiting for my conservative self to go to their hospitals so they can harm me, abuse me or kill me.
Lost her cool when a patient made light of her woke beliefs. An extra jab with a needle isn’t exactly a major crime, but what’s she going to do in an operating room? Surgery can go on for hours and the pressure is intense. Also, talk about lack of judgement, but she was ok with damaging her career just to get back at someone disagreeing with her? Wake Forest is a top ranked school, but I think they made a mistake admitting her.
This person needs to be expelled and barred from the medical profession. She should not be allowed to touch anyone. Not even do their friggen nails.
“Inmate” might be honey-sugar’s next personal pronoun if this “a-hole” (gender inclusive pronoun) receives a civil suit conviction.
This should be a law enforcement issue.
Where are the police?
They defended her at first. But now their business must be suffering. And rightly so.
Oh, BS.
Intentional is intentional.
She knew what she was doing and did it deliberately and deserves nothing less than jail time with the maximum sentence, as does ANY healthcare worker who does the same thing.
Thing is she was born female, and identifies as a regular female, she’s not trans. The ‘she/her’ pronouns are correct for a regular female. She is woke and was wearing the pronoun pin in support of trans/gay/whatever individuals who want to be addressed by certain pronouns. Ironically, she is what the trans/gay community label ‘cisgendered’ and they often make fun of anyone ‘cis’.
We even have an man here on FreeRepublic who claims to be an emergency room doctor who threatened to deny emergency treatment to a patient in his ER because he disagreed with the patient’s point of view on how doctors are treating COVID patients. These dangerous people shouldn’t be in the medical field where they have people’s lives in their hands.
She will be forgiven and become a doctor.
exactly. It’s called battery.Criminal and civil. Now of course we’d all love to see the patient sue both the student and the hospital but he or she would have to show damages, not just having received an extra prick, no pun intended
