Scott Ritter Part 2
In the video above he rants for an hour, persuasively making the following points: 1.Russia is winning 2.Russia is not at war with Ukraine as it is only a Special Military Operation. He points out in real war (as in Iraq) you immediately take out all communication, transportation, and critical industrial infrastructure. Russia is purposely going in soft so as to minimize harm to Ukrainian citizens. 3.Bucha atrocities were committed by Ukrainian soldiers who killed Russian sympathizers. 4.The attacks on Odessa and Kiev were not unsuccessful- they were never the true targets, but rather attempts to pin down Ukrainian forces so that they couldn’t reinforce the Donbas.
———————————————————
The current situation today is that the Ukrainian forces in Mariopal rejected the compassionate and generous Russian offer for them to surrender. The Russians are currently in the process of killing thousands of pinned down Ukrainian soldiers who have little to no food, water, fuel and ammunition. Many American and foreign mercenaries are losing their lives right now.

Your assertion is absurdly false. I repeated no rant, and made no comment about whether the article was to be believed or dismissed. Moreover, at this juncture -- half the time frame of the NATO-Clinton bombing of Serbia decades ago -- I refrain from validating much of the "news" about the Ukraine-Russia war because history is not complete testimony nor fully validated and collated and I am in no way ready to sign on to anyone's version of things, especially in a "kinetic action" (the Obama BS version of war is used with intent) which is ongoing.
My Post 21 was about the Overton window and how it is often cramped down so that some "rule" about what is allowed to be said is enforced, usually by the ostensible "rule maker."
Looking back at the thread, you posted many heated comments to many, mine among them. Have at it with whoever you will, but your characterization of my comment was wholly wrong. It does however prove my point, that some wish to cramp down the "window" to "choose A or B." As you just did. And thereby validated my single point.
I replied to him because his demands to many that they choose "A or B" demonstrate the Overton window in use. That there may be more complex issues at work unintentionally escapes some who would lock down discussions to a binary decision. But for others such is an intentional gambit.
With proven corruption on both sides of this war, and with the aggressive acts of NATO post-Warsaw Pact dissolution, I suspect the the "innocent" Ukraine with its recent history of American princelings, Biden, Pelosi, Kerry and Romney making millions, with Joe Biden's video bluster about firing a Ukrainian prosecutor leveraging money, and with Nuland's (Obama's) continuing hand in things, there is far more than meets the eye. Far more than can be characterized by a demand to "choose A or B."
His post to me seemed driven by my suggestion that we all validate with source citations various views. And of course he hoped I would agree to choose from his "A or B," as perhaps "fresh meat' to gnaw at.
I find your response unpersuasive to the issue of what ultra right wing/ neo nazis/ “ nationalists”/ banderites ..or whatever you want to call them…have done in and to Ukraine and its people
The more I dig, the more I discover to reinforce my perceptions that our Congress, WH, and Europe..have been asleep at the switch, and the time of reckoning has come
Fortunately, it doesn’t matter to me what you think!
"In the video above he rants for an hour, persuasively making the following points:"
There is no context other than that rant, or the statements made about it to make any comments at all, and your point about the supposed Overton window in this situation seems pointless. Who is the supposed "rule maker"? Mr. Robinson? Some random poster?
What is interesting is how propaganda, like that of Mr. Ritter, gets repeated, amplified, and supposedly adopted as factually true. I would expect Freepers to argue the varying perspectives on the actual issues like how much aid, if any should the USA provide to Ukraine, not just post propaganda and then try to claim it is true.
It would be one thing is someone posted some report that purported to be factual, and that was debated. But people are posting material that has no more factual basis than an opinion that bigfoot likes to listen to Elvis Presley singing in the spaceship.
As I said to you and say again, my comment was other than your address to me. I repeated no rant.
