I just learned Russia most likely spent 40 BILLION propping up the rubble. So that means it’s rise back to prewar levels was all contrived and phony. Expect it to keep drifting lower again (as it has fhe last two weeks) after that stunt.

I don’t believe there were more than dozens rescued. Those external missiles and other armaments don’t explode gently. The ship listed quickly. And there were no other ships in the immediate area. I don’t know if the Turkish rescue story was true but a report of about that number of rescued shipmen reaching Sevastopol does seem credible.

Russia retaliated for the loss of the ship, but Ukraine didn’t sink it.
It had to be abandoned, and eventually sank, because its munitions exploded, but there were no casualties.
