The reaction by some to Donald Trump’s endorsement of Dr. Mehmet Oz in the U.S. Senate race in Pennsylvania seems a bit over the top. I mean, I get it on some levels: Oz isn’t great on the issues, isn’t a conservative rockstar (as if Pennsylvania produces any), and is an unknown commodity in electoral politics (see Trump, Donald J., circa 2015). But everyone needs to take a deep breath and understand that Oz is 10 times better than former hedgefund CEO Dave McCormick. And in Trump’s mind, maybe 50 times better.

Manchin? Heck, he’s no Schumer, what we are looking at here with the pot-smoking member of the Adams family is another one of these lefty couture candidates. Think AOC, Buttigieg, Beto.
LOL.
And “helping” young children to “transition”.
He said that (about transgenders) in 2010, IIRC, when nobody really even knew much about it and it was presented as a very rare psychological condition. I don’t know his current thoughts on the matter.
Somebody should ask him.
Oz believes in astrology.
I think he made the quarantine remarks in 2020, before everything had gotten out about the Chinese, and also when everybody was urging “quarantine.” As with other issues, I think he should be asked about it now.
I think we WILL end up with Senator Fetterman, BECAUSE Oz ran.
OK, read the article. I understand much better Trump’s position.
“FALSE! Oz DOES NOT SUPPORT LOCKDOWNS.”
Evidence shows he “DID” when covid began by agreeing with Chicoms... Even IF he’s to be believed now that he ‘changed his mind’, it indicates his LACK of REASONING and his disbelief in SCIENCE that natural immunity is the ONLY way out of a pandemic.
” Even IF he’s to be believed now that he ‘changed his mind’, it indicates his LACK of REASONING and his disbelief in SCIENCE that natural immunity is the ONLY way out of a pandemic.”
Obviously you don’t know the facts. He cites his anti-lockdown reasoning based on review scientific studies.
Now the Trump ednorsement of Dr Oz makes perfect sense. Thanks.
I used to agree with that quote until folks like Linda Graham and Mitch “China” McConnell showed me otherwise.
OZ friggn stated we should do as the PRCs do and lock down entire towns cities and states!
Nuff friggn said!!!
Right. It all depends on which 80% and which 20%.
It used to mystify me how McCain could stab conservatives in the back again and again, and still maintain an almost perfect “conservative” score.
Then I realized the trick of counting what Ted Cruz calls “show votes”, procedural votes, behind the scenes votes. And, then, there is the trick of voting with the conservatives when they don’t need you, when your vote doesn’t change anything. It was always when his vote really counted that McCain could be counted on to betray you. So he cultivated his high “conservative” rating while betraying you every time you needed him.
Suburban housewives know who he is and love him because the Telescreen tells them everything they need to know. That’s enough to get my support. /s
Fetterman has raised more than twice as much as anyone else in that race (that we know of, there is no reporting on McCormick yet because he’s all dark money). I haven’t seen a single ad from Lurch yet, so he must be spending on staff. He has spent a boatload of money so far. Fetterman would have dominated the non-carpet-bagging field, and he’s pro-union, which would have masked his proggy nightmare proclivities. Oz has name recognition, and deserved or not he has a lot of public goodwill. We’ll see how it goes. Even here on FreeRepublic people didn’t recognize what a nightmare Fetterman is, and Freepers are unusually educated voters.
What about Kathy Barnett????
I think Fetterman is exactly what the Democrats have been looking for in candidates, too. White, lefty politics, but with working class credential, not a wimp, not an ivy league dweeb. That should be their formula, but you’re correct that his policies (other than being a strong Israel supporter) are squad-like.
Fetterman has a 10 to 1 fundraising advantage compared to Kathy Barnett.
He has got an Ivy league education, Harvard.
