In Peru, protestors are resorting to violence in the streets after President Pedro Castillo imposed a curfew to curb recent anti-government protests over soaring gas and food prices. The curfew has since dropped and at least 4 people have died.

Food riots are often a precursor to violent revolution.
Imagine American cities after EBT collapses and the supermarkets are looted bare and not restocked.
I think it is really important that we keep in mind, food shortages and gas price inflation is happening globally. It is going to trigger revolution in some cases and mass migration in others.
It will unimaginably bad here if the Biden regime collapses. It is interesting that the Peru leader has also only been in office a year.
So often we only see the world through a single lens. Americans have not had to go through a serious collapse in nearly 80 years. I do not see today’s modern American being willing to pull together to get through this and without a leader to encourage cooperation we will see violent revolution. Biden cannot lead, Harris is abysmal, Pelosi will be a failure and congresses only solution will be to print more money. Even with strong leadership from a Trump or DeSantis the left will reject every proposal along the way.
I pray it doesn’t get that bad here, but I am not holding my breath, while 2022 Holds My Beer.
On the other hand a collapse is the only thing that will save America. If we wait till we are all broke and in bread lines there won’t be enough strength left to rebuild.
I think America needs a good FLUSH.
I cannot disagree with you there.
What I find interesting is the Republicans have gone through a decades long house cleaning. And we are still sweeping things up and replacing those who do not support or value the Constitution. Our base is not afraid to remove people from office who fail to meet our basic values. We are not perfect, but I do think we are stronger now than in say...2008.
I had always thought that democrats would eventually realize their party needs the same thing. Instead they double down on their own insanity letting their fringe elements literally run the party. I find “friends” who are democrats, and we have been ‘friends’ for years, have moved so far left to be no longer moderates. Example is talking to them about petroleum products. They cannot think past gasoline. When talking with them about all the things petroleum gives us...from gasoline to the food you just put in your mouth...it is like their brains are fried.
We talk about this a lot here on FR, basically saying there is no reasoning with them. Why? Why can they not hold a reasonable conversation? We can make a number of suppositions. Brainwashed, media, schooling, education, etc.
All those contribute, but if 2020 until now teaches us anything, it is fear that makes a person unable to think clearly. Consider all their agendas are based on fear.
Fear of Climate Change
Fear of covid
Fear of race
Fear of not being accepted
Every agenda is rooted in fear. Even their use of ‘white supremacism’ to stereotype white people is based in fear or trying to make white people fearful.
If they can keep the vast majority of people in some level of fear, they can keep control. Heck, even we are fearful of Biden being removed from office, because there is nothing better on the horizon. And that is the worst type of fear of all for a nation.
Our nation suffers for lack of real courage to do the right things.
