Los Angeles and Orange counties.
PORTER RANCH, Calif. (KABC) -- A bear cub strolled into a Ralphs supermarket in Porter Ranch on Saturday morning, startling shoppers before being tranquilized by animal control officers.
Officers initially responded about 6:45 a.m. to a report of three bears inside the store located at 19781 Rinaldi Street, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department said. The officers arrived to find only one bear at the location.
Several people snapped photos and recorded videos as the animal roamed through the aisles before running out of the store and into the parking lot.
Animal control officers were able to tranquilize the cub before transporting it to a suitable habitat, officials said.

Teens shoplifting hundreds of dollars of merchandise without opposition is OK.
A little bear cub wandering around is not?

Officers initially responded about 6:45 a.m. to a report of three bears . . .
Goldilocks notwithstanding, this is an example of how “eyewitness reporting” is not necessairly trustworthy.

Sheesh...they need real bears like we have up here in North Idaho. Here is the aftermath of a Grizzly attack this week on livestock down the road from Ruby Ridge.

The meat department is always in the back of the store for this very reason.

The bear should have ordered curbside delivery.

Just a little cub, didn’t need more than a snack.
Glad they didn’t shoot the baby. Euthanizing and returning to the wild is the right thing to. do.
