WASHINGTON, Saturday, April 5.
EVENTS OF THE COMING WEEK.
The coming week will furnish an interesting page in the history of the rebellion and the country. The War and Navy Departments to-day furnish no news that can be published.
THE TWO NEW DEPARTMENTS.
The creation of the two new Departments, for Maj.-Gen. BANKS and Maj.-Gen. MCDOWELL, has been freely discussed to-day. The fact that Gen. MCCLELLAN is to the field, at the head of his troops, and is acting upon the expectation that MCDOWELL's corps d'armee will prove one of his supports in the execution of his great programme excites discussion, as to why this change is so suddenly made, and in the face of the enemy. There is nothing strange in the creation of a separate department for Gen. BANKS, as he is so remote from the specialty to be accomplished by Gen. MCCLELLAN in which he depended upon the active support of MCDOWELL's corps. It looks now very much as though the two Macs had been pilled against each other, and it would be a good joke, after all, if BANKS' dashing movement down the valley, between the mountain ranges of the Shenandoah and Blue Ridge, should frighten the rebels from Gordonsville, and drive them precipitately out of Virginia, thus cheating both [???] out of a fight.
ORDERED TO RETURN TO THEIR REGIMENT.
A special order, issued to-day from the War Department, is as follows:
"Col. D'UTASSY, of the Garibaldi Guard, New-York Volunteers, and all the officers of Gen. BLENKER's Division who are now under arrest, are hereby released from arrest, and will join their regiments without delay, and assume their respective commands."
EX-SENATOR GWIN.
It is not believed in prominent circles that ex-Senator-GWIN has arrived at Richmond, is announced from Fortress Monroe.
