In pursuit of its utopian omelet, the Left cares little about the millions of middle-class Americans it must break to make it.
The last 14 months have offered one of the rare occasions in recent American history when the hard Left has operated all the levers of federal government. The presidency, the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the permanent bureaucratic state are all in progressive hands. And the result is a disaster that is uniting Americans in their revulsion of elitists whose crazy ideas are tearing apart the fabric of the country.
For understandable reasons, socialists and leftists are usually kept out of the inner circles of the Democratic Party, and especially kept away from control of the country. A now resuscitated Bernie Sanders for most of his political career was an inert outlier. The brief flirtations with old-style hardcore liberals such as George McGovern in 1972 and Mike Dukakis in 1988 imploded the Democratic Party. Their crash-and-burn campaigns were followed by corrective nominees who actually won the presidency: Southern governors Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.
Such was the nation’s innate distrust of the Left, and in particular the East Coast elite liberal. For nearly half a century between the elections of John F. Kennedy and Barack Obama, it was assumed that no Democratic presidential candidate could win the popular vote unless he had a reassuring Southern accent.
How did the extreme Left manage its rare takeover of the country between 2018 and 2020? Certainly, Obama’s election helped accelerate the woke movement and energized identity politics. One could also argue over the political opportunities in 2020 following the devastation of COVID-19.

When Biden opens the border this month, they estimate we will have 500,000 illegals in our country every month.
If that simply continues for the rest of the Biden Admin (a GOP congress cannot or will not stop it), then we will have 16 million MORE illegals in our country by the next inauguration.
Not to quibble, but this is not a Bug, it's a Feature.
It's not that the Left "doesn't care". The Left hates the Middle Class who have achieved some level of independence from political and economic Class Warfare. The Left needs to destroy the Bourgeoisie. This has always been true. The core idea of what makes America special is what the Left most seeks to destroy. All else follows.
Erasing Christ from our nation. Abortion. Homosexuality. Creating another slave class under the guise of civil rights.
Those are just a few. America is a Bullet Train headed for the abyss, but the passengers are stoned on alcohol, weed and dirty movies. It's just a matter of time. I used to think fifty years, but when the real onslaught of mongrels stream across our southern border, I think it will be half that.
How did we get here? Just like they told us they were....Kick God out of school (and everywhere else), take over the media, and then our schools. We are toast. Better arm up now, because they WILL kill us.
History tells us that it is very very rare that after a socialist (communist) government is voted into power it will relinquish that power via the ballot. In most cases it is only rooted out by revolution (civil war)
November 8, 2022 could well be the most important date in the history of the United States.
If power is turned over peaceably, just another election day.
If not as I expect, the end of a 250 year experiment in self governance and the final plunge into a darkness that none of us will live to see lighted.

I have thought for some time that a big assumption is being made by the Dems that these are going to be reliable Dem voters. Many will not vote. Many others are religious, and can tend towards more conservative views. Finally, many have fled socialist-repressive regimes (Cuba, Venezuela) and won’t automatically go LibSoc.
How different are you from Bill Ayers & his Weather Underground crowd? They wanted to kill 25 million Americans to get their utopia. How many do you want to kill?

I think you confuse the honest and decent people who came here legally and melted in our pot with the refuse and shock troops being sent currently.
Make no mistake, the socialist upheavals in Venezuela and other Central/South American nations were coordinated by NGOs (mostly Soros funded NGOs). Those NGOs took the worst elements, funded them and turned them into socialist shock troops that created the protests and violence as they demanded the overthrow of capitalism.
Those NGOs are the same ones funding the travel to our border. That is why you see Haitians and Dominicans who need to be brought by boat arriving in our nation.
Those NGOs are placing these people in selected cities to keep agitating the poor into demanding more "social justice" in the form of universal basic income, free college, $20 minimum wage, and gov't protections. Anyone who feels like they have been left behind by the economy (those 40+ million unemployed) will be organizing and advocating for more leftist policies at the local, state and federal level.
They will vote as there is nothing stopping their illegal registration.
I believe this is why the Democrats are not changing course to minimize the damage of the midterms. They have doubled down, knowing by 2024 they will be unstoppable at the polls.
