It took about 5 days, but he is now healed. Yay! I am glad we acted as promptly as we did. Conditions here create good breeding grounds for all sorts of bacteria and parasites.
But, yesterday I gave that kid a rule to follow: don’t go out of the yard to play. He responded, “Why?”
Funeral is Saturday at 10AM.

Oh exit....ANOTHER day that is gray and miserable and the wind is blowing the rain against the windows.....AGAIN. I went to sit out in the sun briefly yesterday - complete with winter coat, scarf, mittens, but the bloody wind was blowing cold winter air - nothing warm about it. I’m so sick of it.
I hear we’re going up to about 70 on Sunday, with sun. I’m refusing to believe it - they’ll change it up at the last minute. Someone does this intentionally to tease us...sick and cruel weather people. I have no doubt they’re all libs.

We have had a few teaser days when it felt like Spring, and then we get hit with winds and cold and rain.
Not normal for us here.
Our early flowers have survived, and we are eager to plant more, but it is too cold yet.
The winter wheat crop is doing very well here-harvest is in mid-June. Corn will be planted soon.
The weather laughs at the calender.
