All foreign leased aircraft still in Russia after the termination of Western leasing contracts have been entered into the Russian aircraft register and will remain in Russia, Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov said on Thursday.
The imposition of sanctions by Western powers in response to Russia's military campaign in Ukraine forced Western leasing firms to terminate leasing contracts with Russian airlines for more than 500 aircraft. More than 400 of these are still in Russia.

Heil Schwab!
Unfortunately, so.
Easy!
This!!
“I find the tit-tat moves entertaining.“
Private companies have had their property stolen, you wouldn’t find it entertaining if you owned the aircraft.
It’s no different than the left cheering property destruction during BLM riots.
“And the future looks so bright for the US economy!”
If Trump was president, I’d say that was correct. But, given the (theology?) of the Democrats, we’re in for some bad, bad times. Probably worse than the Great Depression, because then we didn’t have half the world being let in on purpose through our open border. But, don’t worry, Trans people will be just find.
Uhhh - you might not have noticed in all the chaos, but the digital globobullies basically tried to curbstomp the brains out of the ears of ALL the Russians, after first practicing on the Canadian truckers.
Ol' ShizzPantz actually got handed a "joke" by his puppeteers that called the ruble "rubble", mocking the Ruskis over the West trying to destroy the Russian economy.
Well, The Senile Pedo and his puppeteers ain't laughing at the ruble this week, I'll tell you.
Pooty can flatten the German economy with the flip of a natgas valve, and is letting Zerman chancellor Oaf Doltz hang over the edge of the cliff holding onto a string that Pooty let him grab this week.
Remember - Doltz called Pooty about the natgas supply - not the other way around.
Cut off 20-30 percent of the daily natgas supply to Zermany - what do you think is going to happen?
Pooty has been planning for The Great Cancel for years.
He's not going to crawl back to the Western azzhoes after this. The divorce is final, and the abusers are booted out of the life of the Russians.
You and I are on the wrong side of the Digital Curtain. The West has debt, and the East has physical goods.
This is going to make doing business with the West after this war is over impossible. Russia will be decades recovering from this disaster.

The “ west” is not the world. The largest part of the world is now moving away from the western banks and refusing to use the USD. China, Russia, India, South Africa, many South American countries, Iraq, Iran, Brazil, Venezuela, etc…have all now stated ( because of sanctions, weaponized USD) they will use the Chinese Yuan, Russian Ruble, Gold and even Bitcoin to settle trade. More than half the world’s population has dumped the dollar. The US will now lose it’s hegemony, and the new alliance, China/ Russia/ India will rise. The US must now prepare for an estimated $7-10 trillion of USD held overseas to be sent back to the US. The “demand for dollars” was just blown up by a weaponized dollar. US bonds are tanking, and the demand for Yuan and Ruble are rising.
Not to worry. “By 2030, you will own nothing, and be happy!” Thus spake Klaus Schwab’s WEF.
While Russia may still remain a dictatorship in 2030, people will still be able to own things. Meanwhile, we in the West, will be serfs. At least that’s Klaus’, Bill-zebub Gates’, Soros’, Trudeau’s, and a host of others’ plan.
The Good News is that the Owner and Creator is soon returning to reclaim EVERYTHING! Herr Schwab, et al., are in for a long, hot, nasty eternity.
Just to make things interesting, 99942 Apophis will be visiting close by on April 13, 2029.
I don't think so.
The dirty secret is that a substantial amount of outsourcing for multinational Western corporations is dome in Russia (that's why we are under constant threat of Cyber attack from them, we can't cut off internet access to Russia without wrecking our economy).
I'd say he's got what he wants:
Euro flow into an unfrozen financial institution [Gazprom bank], then conversion into the ruble.
Free natgas to Zermany ain't happening any more.
I hear you, but we are doing the same thing to them, confiscating their private assets. The yachts, for example.
Right.
I've been saying that WE are on the wrong side of The Digital Curtain.
Say the wrong thing to the wrong Trans Overlord on this side - no assets for you!
While Pooty is a ‘baddie’, the WEF gang of psocoipathic narcissists are “worsies”, much more ‘bad’ than Putin. He is an old style dictator while Schwab, et al., want to take EVERYTHING from you, and leave you as a serf, doing their bidding, for crumbs off the table.
We are the ‘baddies’ in the sense that our current potus stole the 2020 election, to misrepresent us in the conflicts of the day.
Of course, we as Americans are full of patriots, deplorables and warriors, fighting in our own ways against what our government is doing to our society.
Supply depot black market
The lessors decided to unilaterally break the contracts due to sanctions. Aeroflot is likely completely willing to make the payments.
I am doubtful the Russians are going to be able to keep the planes flying for long without western repairs and replacement parts.
———-
They will acquire parts through international markets ( Turkey, India for example- both have announced they will no longer use the dollar and are sympathetic “ partners” with Russia) and already have been trained in the maintenance. I spent three years training Aeroflot in Moscow on Boeing equipment. Lufthansa trained them on the Airbus. Aeroflot has operated Airbus for years, and the only Boeing products they fly are the B737 ( that I know of- they returned their B767s years ago and went primarily with Airbus).
Russia has about 1300 civil aircraft, about 800 are Boeing and Airbus. Russia does not use many Boeing aircraft. The rest are Russian made IL 96 and Sukoi , been flying for years, reliable, built like tanks.
On that note, Airbus has been very quiet about “ sanctions”. The Covid downturn has severely hurt Airbus, they are very hungry for business. On top of that, Airbus is in a panic as they sourced 90 percent of their titanium, Nickel, stainless steel , and other exotic metal from Russia. It will not surprise me to see Russia acquire parts through Turkey, India, OR have to “ barter”- Russian raw metals traded for finished parts OR disregard sanctioning Russia at all, which is the most likely.
Demented Joe shot the west in the foot- again…..and Vlad, once again, says CHECKMATE.
Decades if they planned on getting back into the old order. Things are changing for everyone. Russia has no plans to allow the world to go back to business as usual.
Blowing up their own pipelines that supply the EU would send LNG futures sky high.
It may sound extreme, but in WW2 US car production was shut down for four years.
