Thinking of adopting another rescue, still grieving over the loss of my rescue of 12 years, she died in 1/21.
She was a 45 lb. bundle of joy(hound, lab, pit mix) never barked.
I still miss her, but maybe it's time to renew.

Eight years ago we adopted a Doberman. We will never get another breed: Smart, affectionate, protective, loves to play. People are intimated by their look, so usually they stay clear. Ours is 65 ibs, which is small for a Dobie, but I would not one that was much bigger.

If they weren’t properly socialized, they can be a problem. Shelters will require that they be fixed.

My last three dogs (over the course of almost 30 years) have all been pittie or pittie-mix rescues. All have been GREAT dogs.

My 15 year ole pit is within weeks of leaving me. The most loving dog ever. No one in 15 years had a bad thing to say about home. With that said, although I don’t like small dogs, boston terriers are the most loving awesome dogs ever

Black Labs are the best breed for companionship and sociability with other people and dogs. I have a British breed which is bigger than the American Lab. Ive had several dogs in the past 40+ years and can only day good things about Black labs. Btw, The black Lab is the normal trait. Yellows and chicolates are mutations and can have their issues.

I would only take on a pit bull ...or any other...if I had trained it from a pup.
No telling what you'll get from a rescue dog.

Good advice but I lack control and would wind up with several while feeling bad for the others.

Find a greyhound rescue near you and take one home. You won’t be sorry.
