I beg to differ I listen to Steve Bannon yesterday with Bernie Kerik and all of the lawyers discussing how much they studied the laptop when it was in their possession and they have said they made copies

The thing about solid state drives is that they are like ram but don’t require power to stay in whatever state they are in. Each bit is a transistor. Regular ram needs to be refreshed constantly or it is lost. Solid state drives don’t have to be refreshed ever.
The problem with the non refreshing also called static memory is that the transistors wear out after repeated use. The drive keeps track of which parts of the drive have been used and makes sure to spread the usage over the whole drive so that the transistors wear out at about the same time.
The result is that deleted data is left in place and new data is written at a part of the drive that has not previously been used or has been used less. It is entirely possible to never use the same memory twice depending on the age of the computer and how much capacity the drive has. I would guess that a Biden would buy the one with 256 gigabytes.
It’s also possible that Hunter moved files to the trash and then never emptied the trash. That way the files would never actually be deleted and you could copy the hard drive without any special utilities. You would beed a bit copy utility to completely duplicate a solid state drive.
My money is on Hunter being too stupid to empty the trash or the deleted items folder in his email program. I could see him creating and deleting until the disk is full and causing errors that make him take it to a computer technician. I see things like this all the time from people who have masters degrees.

Not sure why you are skeptical of that...sure, there are people who would think doing a copy of the contents of a hard drive by dragging and dropping it from one location to another is good enough, but there is no shortage of people out there who understand that.
If someone came to me with a laptop of that origin and value, I would absolutely know how to get that data off. I have zero doubt that was done. After all, how can you do a forensic analysis of it if you don’t?

The reports of what is on the lap top are obviously real or the MSM would have dies credited it easily. They didn’t and censored it which was proof positive, as were the pictures etc... that were released.
I said there must have been disk images made. That is like a copy but better. That does allow deleted files to be recovered, a copy of contents does not.
I think the entire thing is sensitive on all sides and no one wants to give up their sources, understandably.
But disk images are available.
When they were made, by whose etc... I don’t think is clear.
But the stuff being reported is real.
I’m skeptical because one of the very first things I would do is run undelete sw. The fact that this guy seems to be saying he just did something like that makes me skeptical.

A disc image only tells you the state of data storage as it existed at the time of the image. You cannot do a forensic scan of every gate to see how the previously existed and find previously deleted files if they have been overwritten.
However, if Hunter had only been using a small fraction of his HD (well less than half) then there is a good chance that a lot of ‘deleted’ file data was never overwritten.
But having the original physical hard disk itself (not an image, mirror, or even part of array) allows you to recover more.
Well this guy might have, but I have no doubt there have been many sector by sector copies of it.
I am certain the Left did it when they got their dirty rat-claws on it, for damage control fabrication, if nothing else.

Don't know what you're missing. I watch it online at 10 am eastern and on TV using the Real America's Voice app at 5 pm almost everyday. I believe he is on Saturday morning, also.

Anybody who just lets the kind of stuff stay on a machine that Punter did - you know it’s real. This guy has gone all the way around the bend and he’s not coming back.
Ask yourself: If you had a single video on a laptop that showed you doing something shady and the laptop crashed, would you take it to a shop? Or would you sledgehammer it and buy another laptop? (I know you would never do something like that, but just say you accidentally left it on and thought it was turned off and the stuff it showed was just a little embarrassing, not criminal?)
Punter is an out-and-proud addict, criminal, and pervert. There is nothing we know about him, or that he openly admits, that contradicts that. And he bragged about Burisma on TV. (I don’t have a TV but it seems that story is true.)
Note: I’ve had techs work on machines that had porn on them (NOT MINE!) before and I always say, “Hey there’s some porn in that folder there marked ‘porn’. Don’t look at it!”
Again, I don’t like porn or save it. Sometimes I save nudes and it’s always for Mr K (not the one on this forum) who is an artist and for some reason likes to paint naked ladies. Mr K downloaded some porn once and it ransomed his machine. He was really upset at having to ask for help but it taught him a lesson.
Er, back to the subject: The emails maybe. What got the tax guys after Punter? It prob wasn’t his art sales.
