We are paying for our own destruction

The federal government consistently funds initiatives that directly oppose the interests and will of the American people.

The lawmakers in Congress are characterized by inconsistency, but there is one area in which they are profoundly reliable: supporting interests that stand in direct opposition to our well-being.

“Penman of the Revolution” John Dickinson said, “The money said to be taken from us for our defense, may be employed to our injury.” Dickinson precisely described America’s current financial environment: through massive spending, inflation, and taxation, the political elites in Washington are using our own American dollars against us.

Although The U.S. National Debt Clock displays an overwhelming deficit ($92k per citizen, and $243k per taxpayer), federal “civil servants” apparently considered it appropriate to spend another $1.5 trillion of our confiscated money. So where did the cash go? Back into the hands and pockets of those who earned it? Not even close…

First off, as states along the southern border deal with an invasion of their own, Biden and his cronies decided Ukraine’s sovereignty takes precedence, and sent an additional $13.6 billion. Next, we see $40 million funded higher education; just not in America:

Americans can barely afford a tank of gas but our government just passed a trillion-dollar spending bill that spends $40 million on higher education… In Egypt.

The government only seems to do what benefits itself. I don’t know what will fix it except term limits.

“I don’t know what will fix it except term limits.”

There is another more drastic alternative. Let us pray it doesn’t come to that.

Close the pipelines. Open the borders.

Sabotage isn’t an accident.

That is so true.

In perusing current C-SPAN content a certain disappointment arises in the soul. Bereft of law and order, we are plunging into an abysmal state. The midterms cannot take place soon enough, but will be worthless if people of diligence and uprightness absent themselves from the voting process at every level. We’ve been Penced as it is.

A government that is required to act for our well-being is what we thought we had, but the Soros DAs showed us selective enforcement, after the DOJ gave us conservative enforcement but no enforcement of the same laws for liberals. Our nation has one political party the despises non-homosexual people run by a majority of sexual deviants. Homosexuals are some type of kind people but intolerant and their burning hate (first for themselves, then others) is a symptom of mental illnesses we see in the unwhole.

Too bad we don’t have laws that require the government to act in accordance with the laws on the books.

Too bad we don’t reign in rogue justices and judges who write law via decisions by staying the decision until a law is passed by a government body of that jurisdiction, and then revisit the decision to enforce. Judges makes laws that once decided leave society scrambling to understand the ramifications.

I foresee a time in our near future here in Amerika where cities are fenced in to keep people inside. Maybe it will be FEMA or maybe it will be the folk in the countryside who separate but that separation is coming. In that near future I see law stemming from rationing by those in control whether thugs, gangs or the government, and I see another set of laws based simply on the Bible’s Ten Commandants in opposition to anarcy.

“I don’t know what will fix it except term limits.”

…and they surely aren’t going to EVER propose legislation which will in ANY way, limit themselves.

I’m afraid that Lurker is into something. But I don’t even think the American people have the stomach for that - at least until it’s too late.

“...I don’t know what will fix it ...”

I was thinking that once the ‘government’ takes away everything we have.... they will no longer have any control over us.

Once citizens realize they no longer have a stake in ANYTHING... the ‘gov’t.’ is done for.

Years ago, I used to be against term limits figuring that voters would eventually get it right and until that happened, they would get the government for which they voted. The problem is that WE get the government for which they voted. When the Constitution was ratified, citizens were by-and-large much more informed about the workings of government. That is no longer the case; these days, they are bribed by the government with their own stolen tax money or with money simply created out of thin air. Term limits are a MUST and the only way to get them to be Constitutional is through an Article V Convention of States. There will be no Constitutional amendments proposed by any of the current Washington “representatives”.

Term limits only create faster corruption. It also removes good people faster.

More laws do no not solve the problem.

The problem is the nature of man. Government is not the only way to change society. What are the other ways?
