mama duck found herself at the right place at the right time when she โdeliveredโ her babies at the labor and delivery center of Baptist Medical Centerโs Jacksonville Beach location this week.
The mama duck and her 10 ducklings had to walk through the building to roam free after they were trapped in a fenced-in area in the back.
The hospital said the duck flew into the courtyard and kept her eggs safe there, but the only way out was through the building!

If the doctor was a quake, would have been earth shaking.
Looks like mama duck and her ducklings were herded out of the hospital and into traffic.
Oh, it was an HMO.

That was Michelle Obama’s job at the hospital in Chicago. Herd the indigent back out of her employer’s hospital into traffic towards some other hospital.
That God it was not at a reproductive health clinic
We used to have ducks lay their eggs on the roof of my office building. People would go on the roof to smoke, see the ducklings and tell the doorman to call Animal Control. They would net the ducklings and mom, drive them to a nearby pond. If the ducklings hatched on the weekend, no one went up to the roof, the crows would get them.
One time, mom wasn’t caught. She somehow caught up with them after the kids went into the building and went for a ride.
Apparently, a few ducks did this each year. Dumb or smart?
