Chris Rock will return to the stage for his ongoing comedy tour this week, after being slapped by Will Smith on the Oscars stage Sunday night over a joke he made about the actor’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
The on-screen altercation is one of the most dramatic unplanned events to occur in Academy Awards history, made even more peculiar by Smith accepting the award for best actor less than an hour after his outburst. However, the dramatic moment did seem to inspire some viewers to buy tickets to see Rock perform live; one secondary ticketing marketplace, TickPick, reports that they have sold more tickets to the comedian’s tour overnight than they did in the past month combined. They also claim that ticket prices have surged since Sunday night, going up from a minimum of $46 per ticket on March 18 to a minimum of $341.

What a coincidence.
Or the NFL.
Exactly. If anyone here is still dumb enough to believe that this is real, obviously a natural reaction to getting slapped, even by a bitch like Wil Smith, is to briefly rub one’s face. Chris is a politically incorrect kind of guy. He excoriated Anita Hill back in the day, so good on him. I’m glad Chris is benefiting from this stupid Hollywood stunt.
Think what he could get for a total beatdown, or a cappin’.
I didn’t watch a fake fight and an unwatched Academy Awards show broke out. LOL
Not real? Ask John Stossel. If you’re not a fan, you’re going to love this.
Doctor D David Schultz slaps 20/20 reporter John Stossel in a 1984 interview.

I understand that he recently received some new material ideas.
Something about a ‘ho’e getting her pimp to slap a bro.
I just saw Jada in her “dress” on The Five. It is, by far, the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen and I’m not kidding. She couldn’t even walk in it without stabilizing her front leg and pulling the voluminous train along like a wagon stick in the mud. HILARIOUS!
Any publicity is good publicity. $100 for nosebleed seats at the SAO Center, San Jose.
What do you mean? I think WWE is real. That is what I said.
How Ironic is that???
Trust me, Jada’s dress was NOT good publicity. The train was so huge, I think she had her boyfriends stowed under it. Not kidding.
Just watched the video- Rock held up pretty good- i guess Smith slaps like a little girl.
And to think this guy played Muhammad Ali.
Not many opportunities to slap people come up, so it’s not easy to get it right.
Two beggars are sitting side by side on a street in Rome. One has a cross in front of him; the other one the Star of David.
Many people go by and look at both beggars, but only put money into the hat of the beggar sitting behind the cross.
A priest comes by, stops and watches throngs of people giving money to the beggar behind the cross, but none give to the beggar behind the Star of David.
Finally, the priest goes over to the beggar behind the Star of David and says,
"My poor fellow, don't you understand?? This is a Catholic country, this city is the seat of Catholicism.
People aren't going to give you money if you sit there with a Star of David in front of you, especially when you're sitting beside a beggar who has a cross. In fact, they would probably give to him just out of spite."
The beggar behind the Star of David listened to the priest, turned to the other beggar with the cross and said,
"Moishe, look who's trying to teach the Goldstein brothers about marketing."
***
I prefer the version that has a priest suffering insults from a jealous, surly rabbi competitor, causing massive amounts of charity to pour into the priest's box out of sympathy.
What if Trump slapped everyone that insulted his wife, would they also praise him?
Strange, I tuned into the Oscars and it got pre-empted by an episode of the Jerry Springer Show.
Agreed.
the person he portrays has , in essence, denounced what happened:
“Adding to the backlash against Smith, Richard Williams - who the Oscar winner portrays in King Richard and the father of Serena and Venus Williams - said he condems violence.
‘We don’t know all the deatils of what happened. But we don’t condone anyone hitting anyone else unless it’s in self-defense,’ Williams’ son Chavoita LeSane told NBC News. “

but interesting that Serena and her sister haven’t come out yet that I have seen
