Thousands of people were evacuated in The Philippines on Saturday after a volcano erupted with plumes of steam and ash that went nearly two miles in the sky, Reuters reported.

The threat level for Taal volcano, located in a lake south of the capital Manila, was raised from level two to level three on a scale of zero to five on Saturday morning after it spewed plumes that reached up to 9,800 feet, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said in a statement.

That’s a really cool place. I’m thinking they’re going to have to look for another place to fish, now, however.

It’s not near me. I am about 20 miles from Mount Apo. 😀🙃 I have, however, seen the Taal volcano, in the past. 👍

Climate Change Zealots wrote off all the crap spewed out by Mt. Pinatubo in the PI as being “only-temporary” and “non-impact” to the climate. MUCH more serious is some little old lady driving here internal combustion engine car to the market, however.

At our current rate of decay, a few years at most. So there’s sufficient time to get right.
