Digital Money and Liberty
American Thinker ^ | 27 Mar, 2022 | Whitson G. Waldo, III

The Biden Administration is considering implementation of digital money. Before anything like that happens, a constitutional amendment is necessary to protect the citizenry from abuse.

The Biden Administration is considering implementation of digital money. This transition has some time urgency, because the Chinese consider digital money to be a financial opportunity by which they can displace the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency. There are tremendous advantages being the world’s reserve currency, so this is a matter of national interest.

Any transition to digital money poses a challenge to liberty. For example, the Chinese consider digital money to be another step further down their totalitarian social scoring system. Controlling money digitally provides the power to cut off an individual completely from a financial system. This directly threatens an individual by withholding the means to eat, be clothed, and have shelter. Liberty is directly in the crosshairs because property can be impounded or seized. Without private property, which provides the means to be independent of government, there is no liberty.

One thing learned from the COVID-19 medical tyranny was there were a couple of libertarians in Congress, but there were no Constitutional conservatives anywhere in Washington, D.C. Further, the 2020 election highlighted that one of the two major political parties has abandoned classical liberalism in lieu of progressivism. Progressivism having no limits, progressives have devolved into fascists. This fascism embraces socialism with government control of nominally private businesses by means of regulations and taxes. Also, by its nature, progressive fascism is intolerant of political opponents and free speech.

Free speech is assaulted by intolerance of different opinions, considering any proposal for debate on the merits to be anathema, attacking, imprisoning, and de-legitimizing political opponents, and stoking cancel culture to isolate or even precipitate unemployment of individuals.

It is not just giving the government the power to shut down political opposition. It is also giving the government the power to control what you can and can’t buy.

People who use cryptocurrency tend to be skeptical of governments. Even if the US makes digital money, most will stick with private such as BitCoin. The government would have to such down private cryptocurrency to make a dent, and that’s not going to happen.

Americans need to get the word out and take Katherine Austin Fittts’ advice to go Cash Fridays. Purchase nothing on Fridays with plastic, just cash. This simple boycott of plastic will break the globalist tracking system and get people in the habit of using cash again (I already do as often as possible).

Digital voting has been great for the Democrats.

I just opened FR to post the American Thinker article and Catherine Austin Fitt’s Cash Friday page.

the final line by Whitson G. Waldo, III at American Thinker is soooo defeatist:

“Any digital money scheme needs to respect this principle so that liberty is protected. It is important to get in front of this issue because digital money is coming.”

The Solari Report: Catherine Austin Fitts: Cash Friday
https://home.solari.com/cash-friday/

spread the word.
it’s long past time we the people go on the offensive - against the wholesale adoption of digital; against the fully electric future; against the lying FakeNewsMSM, and against the totalitarian policians that are so prevalent today.

Thanks for the post. The information in this AT Article is not widely known by ‘common folk’, sadly.

Giving the government control of your money, and the ability to seize it at will, should scare EVERYONE!

Tell me what financial transactions are not digital today?

Almost all. Just about anything these type of articles claim could be done with “digital money” could be implemented with what’s used right now.

What Constitution?

The one that says Obama and Harris are ineligible?

...and tax every single private transaction.

It is giving government insight into your life. The last bit of privacy is lost.

The IRS surely supports this idea.

I wonder how they will sell it to the masses? National security? Patriotism? A pandemic? What will they use to drive this agenda?

So …we need a constitutional amendment to prevent the government from doing what the Constitution clearly prohibits it from doing in the first place?

The Biden administration isn’t going to implement anything. Just like they aren’t going to put troops in the Ukraine or blow off a nuclear weapon. They are being allowed to act out in finite ways for a finite amount of time. That time is short. Yes they are causing gas and groceries to go up. Yes they are yapping about a great reset yada, yada, yada. All to get the public to wake up. They are being allowed to unmask themselves so everyone can see how bad the progressive NWO crowd is. Its a large red pill.
