Black News Channel, a cable news network that went on the air two years ago to provide an alternative look at news from Black Americans’ perspective, is shutting down, the outlet’s chief executive told employees on Friday.
“Due to challenging market conditions and global financial pressures, we have been unable to meet our financial goals, and the timeline afforded to us has run out,” Princell Hair, who has been chief executive since July 2020, wrote in a memo to staff. “Effective immediately, BNC will cease live production and file for bankruptcy.”

Just get the “normal” bailouts from the Dementia Joe regime as usual. Use the covid “pandemic” as an excuse like most left wing outfits do when they are stealing government money.
More likely only reported on white on black crime
They remade “Cops” with “Cops Reloaded”—added more white perps to make it more “equitable”....
My favorite recent white perp....
Scraggly looking dude straight from the cast of Breaking Bad (zonked out of his mind) is caught with meth in the pocket of his swimming trunks.
Cop: “Where did you get the meth?”
Perp: “I just bought these clothes a couple of hours ago from a thrift store. I had no idea what was in the pockets.”
The perps remind me of the administration in a WH press conference....
;-)
“ Kind of like Air America radio network.”
Our IT department has AM radio stations blocked on the corporate vpn so I cannot listen to my local newradio station on my laptop when I am working in bunfuq hillbillystan, it is blocked due to inappropriate content…but Air America is not blocked (I checked)…and was surprised it still exists
They had problems with the reporters that were imbedded in the BLM and ANTIFA groups, because their cell phones, note pads, and pencils kept getting stolen.
Yeah in general black folks don’t seem to have a stellar track record when it comes to managing funding.
A few years ago we had a gun buyback here run by a local black organization......the police provided the buyback funding but when the guns were turned in to them there were WAY less guns accounted for than money suposedly payed out.....it was somewhere in the thousands of dollars.
Yeah. But the governing Board got nice paydays and new houses out of it.
Inner city ferals are more interested in free stuff, loot, murder, and drugs than TV news.
Woke ferals are more interested in becoming the Man and Revolution than TV news
This is my shocked face!
Princell Hair…
CVS has an ointment for that.
I hadn’t even heard of it before this article.
Actually this was founded by JC Watts who got the dough from the Jacksonville Jags owner.
Who did not see that coming!
“It would be hilarious if someone scooped up the physical assets, turned it into the White News Channel and made a billion dollars...”
It would be FANTASTIC if it was bought up. And an ALL Black conservative leaning staff took over!
It would likely be found that (conservative) White/ Latin/ Asian people have absolutely NO issue with watching Black people present the news.
Or Bi-racial couples of Asian/Black or gay people.....
I just turned on BNC. It’s still broadcasting in my area. They’re talking about how badly the mean evil racist Republicans treated Ketanji Brown Jackson this week. I guess they’ll be signing off later today. (On my cable, they’re right next to Newsmax on the channel lineup.)
I totally agree with the goal of the Black News Channel - to provide an alternative look at news from Black Americans' perspective. I hope that spurs every other racial group and ethnic group in the U.S. to create their own special news channels from their own racial and ethnic perspectives. The same could then be done for sports leagues. A black league, an Asian league, a White league, a Hispanic league, etc. And the same could be done for restaurants, universities, stores, libraries, websites, etc. If the U.S. separates literally everything into racial and ethnic sub-categories, it will be very beneficial to the country.
