The picture in Eastern Ukraine is becoming clearer as the residents begin being able to talk openly about the key battleground in Mariupol.
Keep in mind, the western narrative about the battles in Eastern Ukraine are all framed around calling the Ukrainian military, spearheaded by the Azov battalions and the ultranationalists, as the good guys. Nothing could be further from the truth. According to increasingly obvious reports, coming from ordinary citizens in/around Mariupol, the Ukrainian army has been using them as human shields and keeping them from evacuating.
There is a lot of war fog surrounding the conflict, however, it is the absence of any pro-Ukraine army sentiment from the local residents that supports the evidence the Ukraine military (Azov Nazi battalion, supported by U.S. and NATO alliance) are actually the bad guys in this region. The eastern region conflict has been ongoing for years, with Russia supporting the residents and the Ukraine military attacking them.
The Russian army has been fighting the Ukraine military in/around Mariupol while the Azov battalions have kept the citizens captive. However, the Russians are now surrounding the Ukraine military and slowly clearing each of the surrounding villages allowing the formerly captive people to leave or seek safety.
At least in this part of the conflict, the U.S. and NATO alliance is supporting the brutality against Eastern Ukrainian citizens by supporting the Nazi factions of the Ukraine military. There is a genocide happening in this region, but it is the Ukraine military, the far-right ultranationalists in the Azov battalions and others doing the killing, not the Russians.
If the residents in Eastern Ukraine do not align with the ultranationalist factions of the Ukraine military and fight the Russians, they are subjected to gross human rights abuses, beatings and threats against their families. Western nations are supporting this activity and deploying extreme propaganda messaging to cover it up.
“Some of the “war crimes” charges against both sides seem like nonsense to me, as you can’t defend a city without putting civilians at risk”
While there’s still going to spillover into civilian areas, it does seems to me that you can let them leave buildings if you plan on using those buildings as firing positions.
Chum really does work.
Whooda thunk.

Oh noes! Russia not bad. Freepers goin to lose their minds! 😮
The woman taped to a pole being whipped by a soldier (video) is too much.
Dangling her purse, one heel up, dramatically begging like poorly acted porn.
The Azov brigade is the Khazarian mafia. They need to be wiped out.
The author needs to check a map. Mariupol is inside Ukraine. The Russians are the invaders. The Russians started this war, one that is now claimIng thousands and thousands of civilian casualties.
It’s all on Russia, period.
This article reflects my experience in Central and Eastern Ukraine. The BS coming from Western News Sources is worse than Pravda was during the Cold War!
Likely both sides in the battle for Mariupol has its bad actors and adding to the problem. Reports like this say UKR forces are not letting civilians out while BBC reports have RUS troops are denigrating, imprisoning, and torturing civilians that they have on their custody. Too much bias reporting to see what really is happening and outliers and maybe lies foster propaganda.
I don’t know if they are glowies, trolls, or fools, but being on the same side as Biden, Lindsey Graham, the MSM, the billionaires, Schwab, and Soros would give me pause. These people suck off Ukraine and have destroyed my country. They want us to eat bugs and weeds.
Putin may be a piece of hot garbage. But these other people certainly are.
Was that the region being shelled by Ukraine after the 2014 coup?
Who wants to control a pile of rubble?
The Russian military is looking for anyone with Nazi tattoos.
To do what?
At one time there were ethnic Russians actually living in Ukraine. Maybe not many but they were the largest ethnic minority in the country. But if you listen to the reporting today everyone is ethnic Ukrainian.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. You keep that warm blanket and I'll keep my backplate.

The Russians.
Why? Because their initial plan failed. They expected the Ukrainians to fold.
They do not have a good backup plan. They are not willing to leave, so all they have left is to destroy the city to rubble.
If you have dedicated defenders, you have to do that to take a city.
I am sure, they would much rather have taken the city intact.
But when the choice is to reduce the city to rubble and not be executed by Putin's enforcers, or fail to take the city, and be executed, you reduce the city to rubble.
If Ukraine survives as a country, Putin will have been responsible for creating a unified country where one did not exist before.
There fight and survival will define them for the next two generations. Russian speakers, Ukrainian speakers (about like Portuguese and Spanish), they will all be Ukrainians who bravely fought the mighty Russians to a standstill and avoided enslavement by the evil Putin.
However, they may not survive.
We may be witnessing the birth of a nation.
I doubt there are enough real Nazis in Ukraine to fill a high school gymnasium.

Exactly, but not what the west wants: The two provinces in the Donbass area have declared their independence from Ukraine- a major reason for this war. They to have had atrocities committed against them by the Azov and Neo Nazis that the Ukies integrated into their military.
That said, the Donbass Seperatists since 2014 have been shelled and bombed by the Ukies. My advice to Zelensky, let them have their independence, they have been a thorn to the Ukies, get negotiating.
It's not exactly a stroll in the park to leave an apartment building in Mariupol. They can't have the civilians go out in the open and the civilians won't leave the basements anyway. It's like Warsaw in 1944.
