A plurality of Americans believe the country is more divided since President Joe Biden took office, a Monmouth University Poll released this week found.
“Has the country become more united, more divided, or not really changed since President Biden took office?” the survey asked.
A plurality, 48 percent, said the country has become “more divided,” compared to 15 percent who said “more united” and 35 percent who said it has “not really changed.” This serves as yet another blow for the commander-in-chief, who chose “unity” as one of his top priorities upon taking office. However, he has continued to drive wedges between Americans over his first year in office, particularly after targeting unvaccinated Americans and warning that his patience was wearing “thin.”

If 83% say it’s as bad or worse than when Trump was president, that proves that the division wasn’t Trump’s fault, as the left claimed. More likely, the divide is due to the aggressiveness, stridency, and censoriousness of the left.
The good news is we've pretty much reached that first step now. Nobody thinks he's done anything well.
The divide is DUE to the very existence of the Left. Their stock in trade is to pit race vs race, class vs class, gender vs gender, sexual orientation vs sexual orientation, urban vs rural... Divided? That is the goal. It is absurd to believe otherwise.

The press stoked racial division by lying about basic facts and evidence in the George Zimmerman-Trayvon Martin case……which was enough to get Obama re-elected, but sowed seeds for Trump’s win in 2016. Trump would have gotten re-elected had he not allowed Sean Hannity to hijack his presidency & put in Paul Ryan as House speaker & let him decide tax reform, with huge child tax credits for unwed mothers & women who divorce their husbands, believing this to be “family-friendly” tax policy. Hannity also had Trump pandering for the black vote by being soft on crime & misrepresenting what “busing” was in the 1970s. Busing was NOT about de-segregation, and Biden opposed it—-but so did every single Republican oppose it, so Hannity is crazy to bring it up. It loses white votes without winning black votes.
Anyway…..Biden’s personality is nothing like Obama’s, so he cannot even united people, except by hoping to keep hatred against Trump alive and fears about Jan 6 alive and hope people forget about BLM and Antifar riots……and hope the polls about climate change are wrong. Basically, it’s the big cities where the liberal media is located—-with the liberal big academia——against the rest of the country, thinking they can continue to rig news and elections. One gets the sense that Democrats now are so confident in their ability to control outcomes that polls no longer matter and they no longer even care about uniting the country or persuading voters and winning votes.
