Another sign the Dem establishment fears DeSantis more than Trump

Letting the world know that the Democrats fear him more than Donald Trump at the top of the 2024 presidential ticket.

It would be hard to find a person who better represents the liberal media establishment than Thomas B. Edsall, whose career includes the Washington Post, New York Times and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. In his latest column for the Times, he attempts to slam Ron DeSantis, letting the world know that the Democrats fear him more than Donald Trump at the top of the 2024 presidential ticket. But in the process of doing so, far from damaging the Florida governor with the GOP electorate and middle of the road voters, he awards DeSantis badges of honor.

Consider:

DeSantis relishes using the state to enforce his aggressive social agenda and has consistently plotted a hard-right course on issues from critical race theory to transgender rights.

For example, DeSantis sponsored and pushed through the legislature the “Stop the Wrongs to Our Kids and Employees (W.O.K.E.) Act” — or the Stop Woke Act for short — which now awaits his signature.

The legislation, Florida H.B. 7, bans teaching critical race theory that suggests that

A person, by virtue of his or her race, color, national origin, or sex is inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive, whether consciously or unconsciously.

Desantis takes on the left, head-on, without the mean tweets.

Their go to will be a made up sex scandal. Mark my word.

Trump seems more “national” than Rick DeSantis, who has a more local vibe. I like DeSantis but wonder if a Presidential race would discard him like it did an otherwise competent, up and coming Scott Walker. DeSantis probably has more visual appeal to the ladies, but many of them hate him for hurting the feelings of all those transgendered children’s mothers!

But would DeSantis have taken that route had it not been for Trump showing that Americans were receptive to the kind of politics Trump embarked on? Honest hard fighting against the Democrats and the crooked press.

The Swamp is formidable, having Satan as its leader. Satan doesn’t cast Satan out, lest his kingdom fall.

But GOD! He allows/disallows the activity of Satan according to HIS will. Any relief, any comfort, any escape from the evil one and his plans for our destruction has always come from Him. America used to understand this, at least a little. We need to recover that ASAP.

I think Trump paved the way on how to fight back against idiots.

Actually, I think the Rhinos in the Republican party fear him just as much as the Dems.

The RINOs are afraid of DeSantis and Trump because the RINOs are really tyrant democRATs at heart. Who do they fear the most? I think it would be Trump because he would seek revenge for the sabotage, they hit him with. I would hope DeSantis would try to take them out before they could do the same, but I would really like to see Trump go in and fire the deep statists and take their pensions for treason because they won’t need it for the rest of their life because they will be in prison.
