I’m not talking here about a catchy phrase, like “Where’s the beef”,
That was my first reaction as to a funny ad that worked.
I thought the Joe Isuzu and Fed Ex ads were pretty good too.

I’ve seen that ad. I didn’t remember what the car was.

Pretty much left TV when “The Walking Dead” and “Dr. Who” took a dive.
Went back to reading books.

Infiniti is just a mediocre Nissan with a bigger price tag and a (slightly) better class of sales guy.
They tried to emulate the Toyota success of Lexus but never made it.

Most ads have target demos and may be totally incomprehensible to those not in the target group. Sounds like this one is aimed at childless, work-from-home laptop classers. I guess that’s who buys Infiniti - I wouldn’t know.

I only see TV ads by accident but this one isn’t embarrassing or enraging like some. Writer is a sniveler though.

As a parent who survived numerous grade school concerts, the ad caught my attention. Not so much the tenth time around.

My favorite car ad is a Volvo one that uses the Queen Of The Night aria from Mozart’s “Magic Flute”.
Nothing like a song about terrible revenge and threatening to banish your child to sell cars!

I actually saw that commercial while working in a government office, with the sound off, and I could not figure out why the car was in the auditorium. I guessed it was to show how quiet the car was, but it really left me with more questions than anything else.

Some time try to pay attention and notice how many ads have people dancing. It’s astounding. I’ve personally never been so excited about purchasing a product that I was inspired to dance about it - but maybe that’s just me.
I will confess that I don’t really appreciate dance as an art form. Yes I understand how difficult it is, how physically demanding it is. And I can appreciate that as a health/fitness regime. What I’m saying is I just get absolutely nothing out of watching dance of any kind. I’d actually rather watch synchronized swimming. Yes, what we need are more commercials featuring synchronized swimming.

Infiniti sucks; it’s just an up-priced Nissan, like Acura is an up-priced Honda.

Aren’t are ads intended to raise brand awareness, the when you go the dealership they try to sell you the car.

"Theme from 2001"? I assume the author meant Richard Strauss's Also sprach Zarathustra (Op. 30). But then you know how it is with music snobs.
