So how does me paying more for gas put the screws to Putin? Since he invaded Ukraine, the price for oil has jumped wildly before now settling in at about $113/barrel. Correct me if I’m wrong but Putin sells into the world market... and even if prevented from selling to the EU or U.S., he can still sell all the oil that they can produce, no? So with a higher price for oil, Putin makes more money, no?

Inflation and higher energy prices started shortly after January 2021. A lot of people seem to believe that paying more for everything is somehow helping to fight Putin, but I have not seen any convincing proof that this is true.
