Kirk was pretty good but Spock outshone all the others and that,for me,affects my opinions of the other regulars...particularly Kirk.

I agree. I liked Spock. He was terrific. He was probably the best in that show, I think everyone can agree on that, no debate there. My opinion is that Patrick Stewart was terrific as a Captain in the Next Generation series.

I agree with your list, but I would put Shatner second, then everyone else as you have listed. Never has someone made so much of something he didn't even want to DO in the first place!
