A Georgia high school coach has been suspended after he defended himself while restraining an 'aggressive' female student armed with a loaded gun after she threw a stapler at his head.
'I don't feel like I did anything wrong,' Tri-Cities High School coach Kenneth Miller said, according to News 19.
Footage of the incident shows the student, who has not been named, shows them being confronted by another teacher before they aggressively knock a stapler out of the teacher's hand.
Miller, who is nearly hit in the head with the stapler as he confronted the student with police, was initially unaware she had a firearm at that time.
'I only adhered to what Fulton County School Board Policy says you’re allowed to do.'

Body camera footage showed the student becoming aggressive hitting Miller with a stapler as they were speaking with her.
'During that process, we located guns. We saved lives,' Miller told Fox 5.
In police body camera footage of the incident, Miller could be seen grabbing the girl and restraining her until officers stepped in and took her into custody.

That’s how I read it, too. Horrible headline writers these days.
In fourth grade, Mr. Razzman would bean you right between the eyes with a chunk of chalk if you got out of line. You only got out of line once in his class.
Terrible headline, they could have easily said “gun-wielding female student” to clarify.
Abandon the cities and the public schools.
No, mine is til on my desk.
The school district would rather bury a teacher than risk getting sued for millions.
The suspension might be SOP in extreme situations like this until the case has been investigated. It sounds like the evidence is there that the coach did nothing wrong, so the investigation is not likely to be long, and he'll be cleared and reinstated soon. Let the process play out.
I have seen it attributed to George Bernard Shaw.

guy was 100% right in everything he did. If she had done that to a policeman outside of school, she would be dead.
Another eloquent commercial for home school.
Honor Student?
The process has played out for eight months now.
Perhaps someone should light a fire under the process to get it moving.
In all fairness it’s a wonder he never missed and put out a kid’s eye. that would have been one hell of a lawsuit.
“That’s the worst headline...”
No doubt!
Doesn’t anyone learn English these days?
I had to look, and I was right.
If she had shot everyone, the school would have complained that he should have done something to stop her..
No good deed goes unpunished.
Thank you
