The Kremlin's invasion has now entered its 16th day and Russian forces continue to struggle to make real progress toward their objectives on the ground in Ukraine. In addition to turning to increasingly more brutal siege tactics in efforts to secure a number of important cities, which is causing a growing number of civilian casualties, Russian authorities look to be stepping up their disinformation campaign. Today, among other things, the Russian Ministry of Defense made a wholly unsubstantiated and outright bizarre claim that the U.S. government is somehow training birds infected with or otherwise carrying biological weapons to fly from Ukraine to Russia.
Russian Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov, the Russian Ministry of Defense's top spokesperson made the claim about weaponized birds during a press briefing earlier today. He provided no evidence whatsoever to substantiate this assertion
It's not entirely clear how this claim came to be, but it appears to be an evolution of recent allegations, also wholly unsubstantiated, from the Russian government regarding work at U.S.-supported laboratories in Ukraine. The Kremlin's core claim, which again it has provided no evidence to support, is that these laboratories are a cover for biological and/or chemical weapons programs. There have been accompanying claims that official documentation regarding U.S.-Ukrainian cooperation at these facilities was mysteriously deleted, which has also turned out to be false.

From everything we have seen over the past few years, why is this claim deemed “crazy”?
Leave the birds outta it..
Pigeon good meat sez dork from the nork
Well China said bats, why not? Israel has killer dolphins.
It is justification for their next escalation. They are basically claiming the use of Weapons of Mass Destruction at this point. Notice how that term has fallen out of favor as of late? It is only used when media/government wants to associate easier to obtain bio and chemical weapons in with nukes.
It doesn’t actually have to be all that credible either, all they need to do is convince their own people. Many if not most of them will want to believe it.
Why not bats? /s
So much propaganda, so little news.
Our disnformation guys are mopping the floor with their disinformaion guys.
Don’t they have birds that naturally migrate between Ukraine and Russia? Why not just infect some of those birds instead of going to the trouble of training the birds.
The two sides, Russia and the USA are now saying don’t believe the other guy’s lies, believe our lies, because our lies are actually true.
If it weren’t so dangerous it would be funny, something out of a Laurel and Hardy skit.
Sometimes I think I must be crazy but all the Ukraine and Russian back and forth convinces me it’s just the media.
What’s crazy are the global socialist corporate capitalist new world imperialists who think WWIII is the solution to their problems. I’ll think this is crazy when their deepstate tools stop spouting pure propaganda and start telling something that sounds like the truth.
A bio-lab can still be a bio-lab without manufacturing weapons. In fact, manufacturing delivery systems for deadly biotics would not be done at the lab. They are entirely distinct issues. So, claiming “no emds” have been found is the same as in iraq. Recipes, labs, etc, were found. It’s a denial that obfuscates.
The wuhan lab didn’t also produce delivery artillery rounds, bombs, missiles, etc.
“From everything we have seen over the past few years, why is this claim deemed “crazy”?”
Probably will be verified within a week.
So let’s continue to isolate Russians from outside internet connections so they’ll lose what remains of their chance to hear truth.
When everything you see in the media is nothing more than political propaganda peddled by liars, then even the most outlandish claims that contradict the media narrative must be considered credible.
That was already going on in Russia. They've shut down their independent media and are threatening to put people in jail for 15 years if they refer to the invasion as an "invasion" repeatedly.
Squirrel!
Is there a link to video where this claim is made by the Russian general?
I give it no more than 48 hours before Sean Hannity has some Deep State shill on his TV show, and he stops his own bloviating just long enough for this guest to reveal that these chemical and biological weapons were planted in Ukraine by the Russians after they were removed from Iraq in 2003.
