Dad took me to many Twins game. Mom took me to one on the last day of the season. The Twins were out of post season consideration. But, we sat there, in a light mist,watched the Twins win as Cesar Tovar played all 9 positions.
My fondest baseball memory.
Couldn’t care less now.

What about the proposed stupid rules regarding ending the shift? What are the rules there?
Owners can ban the defensive shift starting in 2023 as long as the players are given a 45-day notice.
I not watching anyhow because of the BS, but this is terrible.
Baseball ain't football, days off can hurt as much as help.
We seen it many times, one team in the League Championship sweeps 4-0, while the other team in the other league goes 7. The team that swept their series sits around for a week or more waiting for the other series to finish.
The World Series starts and the team that swept their LCS is now cold and flat, while the team that went to 7 is still hot and sharp.
We have one of the older franchises in MLB, the St. Louis Cardinals. A franchise with the richest of histories. The ballpark, the Clydesdales, the fans etc. Do you know where this years crop of rookie recruits came from? All south of the border on through Latin America. Because...well because we can't be recruiting any Americans, white or black. It's been that way for some years now. Eff them.
My dad took myself and my sister to Astros games in the early 70’s. Stopped by Yamin’s Pizza for lunch on the way. Sunday afternoon ball in an air conditioned stadium. Good memories.

I won’t go to MLB games anymore.
I will go see a st game in AZ if they’re playing.
They are trying several things to try to make it more exciting but they haven't really hit on the actual problem. As it is, the pitchers are so dominant, and the batters are so good that many at bats turn into an epic battle of full counts. At that point, a mistake by a pitcher or a batter results in a walk or a strikeout. As it turns out, the number of full counts, walks, and strikeouts have all gone up dramatically in the last few years.
Fans have always preferred offense, so the best way to fix baseball is to move the mound back a foot or so. No need to mess with DH's, shift bans, pitch clocks, or bigger bases. Let the batter hit the ball, and let the fielders field. The number of strikeouts and walks would drop, but the game would have more action.
As a Dodger fan, I am hoping Kershaw re-signs.
I guess they finally agreed on how much more they’re going to pick the fan’s pockets.

What about Otani of the Angels? Talk about a pitcher who can hit and hit for power. Of course he’s already been hitting and pitching by batting him in the DH slot when he’s on the mound as he’s in the American league.

I liked the change that pitchers had to pitch to at least three batters.
It would be interesting to stretch that a little bit, like four or five batters (if in the same inning).
