On the 99th day of a contentious lockout, Major League Baseball and the players’ union reached a tentative labor agreement for the 2022 season on Thursday. Once in doubt, a full 162-game regular season will be played.
Spring training, which is normally six weeks and was originally scheduled to begin in mid-February, will open this weekend.

I do... It was somewhat of a rhetorical question.
It’s an outrage! An outrage I tell ya.
….and no one cares.
As verbs the difference between enrage and outrage
is that enrage is to fill with rage; to provoke to frenzy or
madness; to make furious while outrage is to cause or commit
an outrage upon; to treat with violence or abuse.
Have a nice evening. I’m enjoying a bowl of chili beans and
getting ready to watch some college basketball. Have a good
one.
Hopefully, he stays in Atlanta. I think he will.
The Braves weren’t working very hard to keep Freeman throughout the World Series. Yankees sound very interested, and the Dodgers have been rumored too.
I thought the one game playoff between 4 & 5 seed was a bad idea. To me the one game playoff is for an actual tie, but all other playoffs should be at least 3 games. The season is getting too long (they’re playing into early November). If they want more playoffs, cut the season back to 154 games.
Don’t think he’d like NY. The Dodgers worry me. He’s a left coast boy. I hope the fact he recently bought a new home in Atlanta, close to the wifeys family in Fl.(I think) will keep him here where he belongs. Of course, it always comes down to the money.
If the number of news stories are any indication, all the headlines are about the Yankees and Dodgers. Not a peep about the Braves courting Freeman tonight.
thank you
thank you
Time will tell.
Yep - my dad taught me. When my kids played ball I was always the team scorekeeper because I knew how to keep the book. I used to have my dad's completed scorecard in the program for game 7 of the 1960 World Series. Unfortunately it disappeared in one of my moves.
No more 7 inning double headers or runner on second in extras.

Great changes, along with the DH for all!
Before moving the mound back, let’s try just lowering the height of the mound by, say, 18 inches. That would reduce the speed of the pitches and = more bat contact.
Thank you! Glad you are anoyed.
Made my day!
Wow, none at all in the MLB?? How about the minor leagues?
I've lost count how many 7 inning double headers we've attended over the years in the minors (and a few in MLB, too).
I would hate to see Freeman go to the Yankees or Dodgers. Then I'd have to root against him. :-(
Any hope for the Tigers this year?
Wishing they hadn’t forced the DH on the NL. Very happy they booted the extra inning rule re: starting a runner on 2B. That was ridiculously little league.
