Given that there are a lot of tourists in Yellowstone and some of them aren’t as young as they used to be, the larger animals should probably wear safety vests with reflective strips and flashing lights for their own safety.

Ran into a moosecow and calf on the backside of the Tetons bowhunting with my BIL. Thought we were fixing to be dead. I even peed myself a little.

Not sure I like bring children to see a wild wolverine. That thing is far more dangerous than most bears.

Best time to go to Yellowstone is when its closed for snow removal.Cody and the surrounding state parks are deserted.

My initial guess was the illusive & vicious Jackalope. I’ve only seen them hanging (stuffed) in very select gun stores.

I spent last summer with my uncle hunting wolverines up in Alaska. Shot about 50 of them with a freakin’ 12 gauge. Why shoot them? Not for their meat, I'm sure. Are their pelts of value? Or are they considered pests there and to be exterminated, like Coyotes in some places?

National parks are good for discovering this sort of thing. And for seeing the Milky Way on a clear evening.
