HBO’s Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon has blasted New York City for lifting masking mandates, saying it represents “an enormous step backwards.” She also indicated she and her family will continue to mask up despite the city’s newly relaxed rules.
Her angry screed comes as the Hollywood star posted photos her herself and her family posing maskless with friends while on vacation in Kenya.
Starting Monday, New York City formally lifted vaccine requirements and indoor mask mandates, including in public schools, where masks will be optional for kids 5 and up. Masks are still mandatory for pre-kindergarten kids and for all people on public transportation.
Broadway shows are still requiring ticketholders to mask up through April 30 at least.
A lifelong New Yorker, Cynthia Nixon wasn’t happy about the city’s revised mask policy, accusing Mayor Eric Adams (D) of throwing out the “most simple and effective” safety measure against COVID-19.
“Our family’s return to normal takes an ENORMOUS step backwards,” she tweeted. “Thanks no thanks.”
Her tweet comes shortly after Nixon shared photos of herself and her family posing maskless with friends while on vacation in Kenya.

For my family a "return to normal" means feeling safe enough to participate in everyday activities.

The one time Fauci told the truth in this plandemic was when he said in Feb. 2020 that masks were of little use against a virus.
In a fair world, once the masking requirements are dropped, she and here kind should be banned from entering public spaces with Masks! What disease does she have which would require masking! How dangerous is she and why is she out in public if she is contagious?

That’s the point, dummy, nobody is stopping you. Put on 15 masks and respirators if you want. Knock yourselves out (literally in this instance as the deprivation of air would cause you to faint).
I want Dr. Nixon to participate in my next colonoscopy. She can pull the probe out after the exam is complete.
She was on “Sex and the City,” 40-50 years ago.
It’s like taxes honey, if you feel like paying more then do it. If you want to wear your little mask, go for it. It’s the freedom of individual choice the rest of us are worried about.

She may (probably) have a reason to hide from facial recognition cameras. Possibly a kleptomaniac. She may have a seriously unappealing countenance that she wishes to hide with a mask. She may say it’s an enormous step backwards but most cities banned masks of any kind in the pre China virus days to deter crime such as theft and armed robbery
