Journalist: Ukraine is Trying to Goad the US into World War III
Substack ^ | March 6 | Michael Tracey

The reason we know Ukrainian officials are trying to goad the US into war is because that’s exactly what they say they’re doing. There is no ambiguity here — at this very moment, a furious multi-front lobbying blitz is underway to solicit full-fledged US military intervention in Ukraine, and therefore open warfare against Russia. To put it bluntly, a foreign country’s representatives are doing all they possibly can to instigate the closest thing anyone on Earth has ever experienced to World War III.

At the forefront of this campaign is the president, Zelensky, who’s been transformed overnight into an international folk hero. His nonstop lobbying offensive included a soaring address Friday to what some media outlets ludicrously described as an “anti-war rally” in Frankfurt, Germany. Such a description is ludicrous because the headline takeaway from the rally was Zelensky passionately condemning the alleged cowardice of NATO countries — for, as yet, refusing to launch a war against Russia. “All the people who die from this day forward will also die because of you, because of your weakness,” he inveighed. In his pro-war advocacy, Zelensky uses the same clever euphemism that has now entered heavy circulation: “No Fly Zone.” At this point, everyone with a bare-minimum understanding of what a US-administered “No Fly Zone” would entail has readily acknowledged that it means direct war with Russia — and by extension a radically increased risk of nuclear annihilation.

I read this adorno guy as more interested in faux-debate (trolling) than these issues of war.

So, point out where I’m wrong and where you think different.

I just said that I didn’t think that we had any disagreements about anything meaningful. Are you having reading comprehension issues? Your only interest seems to be insulting others. Do you have any other motivation?

I can't figure him out, but that sounds like a reasonable explanation.

I'll make it simple for you.

Putin bad. Ukraine good.

Putin wants to conquer Ukraine and eventually reconstitute the original USSR. The Ukrainian people don't want any of that.

The U.S. nor the Europeans aren't helping, at least not enough, with the sanctions not going to dissuade Putin from achieving his goals.

Fear of nuclear war? Well then, that fear will still be in place when Putin decides that he can go for more beyond Ukraine.

BTW, it's not about me, but about the real issue, and I'm not the issue. So, figuring me out ain't going to end Putin's war and it's not going to help the Ukrainian people So, get your priorities straight.

The author probably also blames rape victims for being assaulted. “Did you see the hem on that skirt? The sparkles on her pumps? The cleavage?”

You do realize that the Ukraine has been part of Russia for several hundred years and that the current corrupt regime was installed by foreign meddling? It is not our business and is not worth starting WWIII over. But it is interesting that the current propaganda has so heavily influenced the opinions of people who couldn’t even find it on the map a week ago. Now go back to sleep and let the adults discuss this.

I agree completely. I just don’t want to see our troops fighting Russians on the ground, in the sea or the air…

FR et al is a place to visit to get a quick concise review of news. To denegrate someone for asking a question sure seems nonsensical when a one line would benefit us. Everyone can’t know all the events all the time.

His latest reply to me I indicates that he should watch Kamala’s explanation of the situation again and take notes this time.

You do realize that the Ukraine has been part of Russia for several hundred years

And, Israel was part of some other county, depending on the era, and the U.S. belonged to the "American Indian" or the continents original inhabitants. So, should we consider that, the U.S. belongs to other people, and that Israel has no right to exist? Hey, the Mexicans would like to have Texas back, and we need to toss in California.

Boundaries are redrawn all the time, and what we know of the world maps today, are likely not what they were hundreds of years ago.

The Ukrainians have been free of Russia for many years now, and they certainly don't feel Russian nowadays (excepting for a small part of the population). So, who the heck are we to tell them to suck it up and go back to 'mother Russia'?

The Ukrainians have been free of Russia for many years now.

The Ukrainian regime directly before the current one was a Russian Puppet. They have been free of that Regime since 2014. With George Soros’s, the Clinton Foundation’s, Obama’s, our own intelligence agencies, and the Biden family’s assistance they managed to get a new regime that was actually more corrupt than the puppet regime. The damage done has resulted in the current conflict. The “big guy” Joe Biden himself shares plenty of the blame.

You bring up Texas... I assume that we would not allow this to happen in Texas, but Ukraine has been under control of Russian governments since 1648. Texas has been under control of the United States since 1845 approximately two hundred years after that.

Russians have considered people from the Ukraine to be Russian for hundreds of years. This is basically a family squabble that we have no business in. But like it or not we are in the middle of it largely because of the corrupt US politicians and intelligence operatives involved in the recent regime change.

There are no accidents in this type of event. $10 a gallon gas is not a consequence; it is a planned event. My guess is that this is largely political show on both sides to line insider pockets.

That’s true, but Biden and his cabal are using Zelensky’s agitprop campaign to the hilt to support their narrative - all designed to bolster a failed Presidency to keep from losing the House and Senate this November.
