Once had a sales rep from NJ work for me with the accent - and she was as obnoxious and offensive as her accent. I was GM for central Virginia for a Fortune 500 IT company and inherited her.

Shocked when she came back from a personal trip home and told our whole office that for the first time she found out why the rest of the country finds NJ people (in general) obnoxious. She found herself on a flight of ONLY NJ people from her area of NJ. And said as a whole it was the most obnoxious and offensive group she’d ever been with in her life.

“Now I know why those outside of NJ finds us obnoxious! WE ARE!”
