Teacher education has to change as well.
I don’t know how you force parents to get involved. Maybe well they were home with their kids during covid-19 noticed how horrible the education system was. But typically before that parents just drop them off and didn’t pay much attention to what happened inside. Even in private schools. I taught in a very expensive private Christian School that was very subpar educationally. Most of the parents didn’t have a clue

I believe you. My grands went a couple of years ago, for one year, to the small town (expensive) Christian school. None of the parents were aware that the education was pathetic. I think as long as their kids were in “Christian” school, that’s all that mattered.
It was a school in the Reformed Church - all Dutch people. Nobody dared criticize the school - it was like the golden calf of their church.
Actually, I sent my kids to their high school. It was pretty pricey at the time, but the best I could do as far as education. Seeing as my daughter met her husband, who is the best husband imaginable, it was worth every penny lol.

I am sorry this happened. I can easily believe it happened and I think other cases of ethic failure have and will occur. The problem is a loss of the Christian/Judaic beliefs. When a person has no recognized higher power, there is no restraining evil intentions except the fear of punishment. It is hard to prove so most of the time, people get away with it.
I don’t mean to say “where I worked.” That is totally wrong. I was thinking too fast for my typing and I was thinking about the workers. I meant, “the infusion center where I received treatment.”
To be very clear, I have NEVER worked in any capacity in the health care industry.

The rescue I went to yesterday will be a great match for the rescue in CT I talked to today. They take in transported animals, but keep them in a shelter environment. For the kittens, I’m looking for a northern shelter that will find pet parents over the internet and will take animals out of a foster situation directly to a forever home. I need to do more calling around.
