.Soviet soldier feeding polar bear in the 1950s
Taken in Chukchi Peninsula, Soviet Union, an area known for being painfully cold. The negative 40 degree temperatures can take down a polar bear and its children, starving and freezing them if they don't get enough to eat.
At the time the soldiers had an abundance of tin cans of condensed milk. They would cut open the tin and feed the condensed milk to the bears

Marmot realizes it's been caught by a fox
This award winning image was snapped by Chinese photographer Yongqing Bao while he was traipsing through the Qilian Mountains National Nature Reserve in 2019. With his camera at the ready, he captured the moment that a Marmot realized it was going to become dinner for a hungry fox.

The honey badger can survive through the worst of conditions due to their super power... thick skin.
Now this is what a tough guy looks like. Or rather, a tough animal.
These small animals are known as one of the most fearless creatures on the planet. They don't care if they're facing down a hyena or a lion, they'll put up a fight until everyone is sorry that they crossed paths. Aside from being incredibly mean, Their strong skin can take a licking and keep going, but it's also so rubbery that if it's caught in the teeth of a predator it can shake loose with no problems.

These goats defy gravity
These are ibex goats, animals who instinctually climb wherever they need to in search of salt. As herbivores they don't get enough calcium salts so they climb until they reach salt deposits in the masonry of the walls that they climb.

Honey Badger. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4r7wHMg5Yjg
I was hiking Windy Hill in Portola Valley, CA yesterday. Shortly after starting down, I heard a loud mix of howling, yipping, and barking from several coyotes. My first thought was mom had brought a fresh kill to her cubs. The noise lasted maybe a minute, then all was quiet again. I spotted four small rabbits on my hike in that area, so lots of food available. It seems rather early in the year for a litter of coyote pups, though. I was rather wary on that stretch of the hike after hearing that cacophony.
So this photo you posted struck a chord with me. I could just see mom teaching the kids like that.
Porcupine quills are easily removed by scissors (cut the ends off and let the air out). Vet told me this 150 bucks after the fact. Wife would not let me rip them out as a teachable moment.
The owl makes my eyes hurt to try to see it.
And honey badger still don’t give a sh!t!
Can’t go out on the porch at night without hearing a kill. Here’s some daytime action: https://youtu.be/JZsatKUm8Jc (25 secs.)
Thanks for posting! I went to the website at the link and there are many more.
Some are absolutely astonishing!😮

Thanks. Lots of jackrabbits!
Looks like we have cottontails on this mountain. Lots of new signs have popped up about coyotes whereas it used to be just signs about mountain lions eating you.
Very Cool pictures.
I had a coyote family in my back yard @ 10 years ago, and I’m in Detroit!
Nothing bothered my garden for that year. Unfortunately the police shot them all as they also prey on small pets, and children.
The coats where much darker that the one in the picture above.

Outstanding photos!
Great photos - perfect way to top off a very pleasant Sunday. thnx

Thanks for the Dec 2021 link. I missed those.
God has quite an imagination. I've always wondered whether He might have done each species' general design and then delegated, under His close supervision, the creation detailing to angels.
For that matter, although He has now ceased from creating, Revelation describes His resumption (new heaven and earth, etc.), when He might permit the redeemed humans to assist similarly.
Thank you for sharing
