No problem. I have most of my posts taken down. I don’t care. Free Republic is still a great forum.

I’m surprised “welcome” isn’t one of them.

I use “incorrect”. That way, when I enter it wrong, they remind me: “your password is incorrect.”

In "Kingpin: How One Hacker Took Over the Billion-Dollar Cybercrime Underground," Kevin Poulsen describes how real life hacker Max Butler hacked the top stolen credit card forums, put their data on his forum, and deleted them.
He then sent emails to all the subscribers and server admins that they were all now on his forum and as well taunted them that "1234" is not a secure server password. Again, these were hacker servers.

I’ll add here that I use Bitwarden as my password manager.
I used to use 1Password, but like this better.

I figure the more passwords you have, the better chance one of them will be broken. That’s why I only ever use one, p@ssword. See, the a is replaced by a @. Nobody would ever think of that one.
To: UnwashedPeasant
I use password but with a capital P. No one will figure that one out.

I like just using “incorrect”.
Then, whatever you type in the computer tells you, “your password is incorrect”. 😃

You’ve got to be pretty stupid to use any of those...so stupid, in fact, that you probably shouldn’t use a computer. No kidding! My passwords are generally at least 20 characters with random mix of upper case, lower case, numbers and special characters. I also try to chance passwords regularly and I never use the same password on any two sites.

I agree. But if you ever want to see stupid work in a hospital ER like I do.
Good Lord the stupid, selfish and hurtful things humans are capable of is just amazing. And some just get sick through no fault of their own.
It’s a great job though. I like to work with people, the money is good and to be truthful and with all due respect a lot of these nurse are some of the gorgeous young women I have ever laid eyes on.
And I respect them very highly. They have a tough job to do.
