I made a batch of the WW basic Veggie Soup this morning and we had that for lunch. Really good, super easy. ZERO Points against me, and I haven’t even really started. ;)

I’m looking forward to this, because I LOVE to cook - and this will allow me to make a lot of the things we LIKE to eat, but with less calories.

I’ve been thumbing through cookbooks and WW recipes on line. I have quite a few ideas lined up right out of the chute.

I also told my fat Beagle that every morning it’s above freezing when we get up, we’re going walking! I wish I had never gotten out of that habit. Don’t know why I did.

I think I had a reverse mid-life crisis. After living SUCH a regimented life in the Army for so many years, and having to account for EVERY calorie to stay at or below weight, and then post-Army always having quite physical jobs in the Civilian World, I think I rebelled - BIG TIME - once I retired.

No. I KNOW I did, LOL! Time to get my act together again.

My husband did the same when he retired after 20 in the Army.

About ten years ago I started changing the way I was cooking. Many less carbs, many more veggies and daily walks. The weight came off.

I keep a timer beside me because most of what I do is office work. At one hour the timer goes off and no matter what I get up and do something that requires me to move.

When I am in the store it often is stock and straighten the shelves. At home... something needs cleaning, count on it. If I am home and it is nice out then I head out doors to weed, dead head or one of a hundred other chores.

One hour of office, ten minutes of something else.

It is amazing what you can get done in ten minutes.
