Bean sprouts make an excellent filler in soup where you would normally have noodles.

Replace half the noodles with sprouts and it will give a nice crunch and you will not notice the noodles.

Also, zucchini and cauliflower make nice filler.

Lots of fiber and vitamins.

Low calories.

I will say to eat food that you really like.

Most of our eating is of foods we are "meh" about. And that means we tend to eat a lot more of them. I have no idea why but that is my observation. Eating food that you like and is really tasty, for some reason you eat less.

I made a batch of the WW basic Veggie Soup this morning and we had that for lunch. Really good, super easy. ZERO Points against me, and I haven’t even really started. ;)

I’m looking forward to this, because I LOVE to cook - and this will allow me to make a lot of the things we LIKE to eat, but with less calories.

I’ve been thumbing through cookbooks and WW recipes on line. I have quite a few ideas lined up right out of the chute.

I also told my fat Beagle that every morning it’s above freezing when we get up, we’re going walking! I wish I had never gotten out of that habit. Don’t know why I did.

I think I had a reverse mid-life crisis. After living SUCH a regimented life in the Army for so many years, and having to account for EVERY calorie to stay at or below weight, and then post-Army always having quite physical jobs in the Civilian World, I think I rebelled - BIG TIME - once I retired.

No. I KNOW I did, LOL! Time to get my act together again.
