ATLANTA — Early Sunday morning, another group of street racers stopped traffic at the 10th Street and Piedmont Road intersection so they could burn rubber on top of Atlanta’s “Rainbow Crosswalk”.
They cleared the area before Atlanta police arrived but left more damage at the busy intersection just a few days after it had been cleaned up.
Atlanta Police are offering a $2,000 reward for anyone with information on the street racers who have been disrupting Atlanta’s streets and leaving damage at one of the City’s better known landmarks.
Last Sunday morning, APD responded to reports of street racers doing the exact same thing at the popular street corner.

Other than being a menace to other drivers and pedestrians, what happened to be upset about? Crosswalks will be crossed by cars leaving rubber behind, whether they’re doing donuts or obeying the traffic laws.
Thatlooks like only one car did a number of smoky donuts in the center of the intersection. Doesn’t look like any special attention was paid to the homo propaganda.
Good on them! Enough, already with the ‘rainbow appeasers!’
“So gather ‘round, gather ‘round chillun’
Get down, well just get down chillun’
Get loud, well you can be loud and be proud
Well you can be proud, hear now
Be proud you’re a rebel
‘Cause the South’s gonna do it again and again!”
~Charlie Daniels Band
A rainbow crosswalk is a better known landmark in Atlanta? As rich as the history is there? Gonna call bovine excrement on that.
Could be worse. Someone could pour a few gallons of paint remover on 8i.
Have they ever thought about putting in surveillance cameras? Get the plate number and description of street racing cars?
Those who are upset by this can console themselves by pulling down some more statues.
Perhaps it was two very talented motorcycle riders.
I like it!
Not enough money in it, better to cash in on the middle class with Red light cameras.
You reap what you sow - the left has made it their business to deface and/or remove any symbol they find “offensive”. Perhaps they should not be surprised when someone who finds one of their symbols to be offensive to deface it.
Actually looking at the photo it would be my guess someone was just doing donuts and not really caring one way or another about the “rainbow” crosswalk.
Burnt rubber on rainbow crosswalks. What a beautiful sight. The smell is pretty good too especially if mixed with the odor of race fuel.
Nope, black neighborhood. Down the memory hole.
“God gave NOAH the Rainbow Sign. No more water; FIRE next time.” -Old Southern Gospel hymn.
If they can express themselves with rainbows, car and motorcycle "enthusiasts" can express themselves with a little deposited rubber.
"But they're defacing the rainbow which was there first!" - No, I dare say there has been rubber deposited on various intersections long before anyone thought of painting rainbows on them...
Notice the poofter colors are hemmed in by straight white lines!
I have found that people who do that sort of thing in a neighborhood are generally residents of that neighborhood. Most likely the violators live within 5 minutes of this intersection.
And it would be quieter.
