Tired of Trump! I'm So Ready For Someone Else!

Posted on 02/26/2022 8:31:44 PM PST by redheadedshannon

Voted for him twice! Love many things about him. However, I'm not the girl who's going to follow him over a cliff any more than I am the girl who worships the establishment Bushies! I want a populist CONSERVATIVE that can win & displays an ability to learn from mistakes and remembers that none of this is supposed to be about him! 🙄

So far you have written 3 posts to me, none of which explain why Trump was okay with raising my taxes. To which post are you referring?

I specifically stated, knowing what you all do, no hyperbole.

I’m sad that I can’t think of any others, to be serious.

Can you give me the names of two or three people who are better suited to be President than Trump?
***Sarah Palin, Ron DeSantis. But only in 2028, after Trump terms out as Prez so there really really really needs to be someone better suited than that in 2028. Whomever is the VP will be the heir apparent, the perfect sinecure. Is Alan West still on the radar?

About the phone solicitations. Completely different issue than taxes.

Well said, V K.  We've got a much BETTER CULT!  Ha ha.  Hey there are a number of reasons people gravitate to Trump rallies.

What if you're an average Joe Six Pack or Jill Pina Colada?  How do you explain to your kid what America is about?  Well, attending a Trump rally is a genuine experience whose memory can be etched in the brain for a lifetime.

You get to see other people who think the same as you do and maybe you gain more courage to speak out and confront the naysayers.  So many benefits.

I remember growing up on Cape Cod in the year 1960 when Kennedy was running for President.  There was excitement when Kennedy came to HyannisPort, my Dad took me to the train station and he was shaking the hands of people from the other side of the fence.

I was only 8 years old at the time, too young and too short to get a glimpse of Kennedy, but he walked by and I felt the electricity in the air about somebody people were anxious to see close up.

HL27, good to hear from you! Hope you're doing well.

He’s a money maker. If it all bothers you so much, vote for Biden again.

Like I said to CAluvdubya, I have unsubscribed from all mailing lists. It's not just the inconvenience; the volume of solicitations makes Trump seem weak and desperate. Not qualities I generally look for in a leader.

Sessions was long gone before the Barr/Wray insurrection activities began. Trump could have fired either one on any day. He could have put anyone he wanted in to fill their positions. What further could McConnell and Graham possibly have done to derail Trump and destroy MAGA that they did not do? Nothing, those two were in on destroying Trump from day one. Six months of acting appointments would have been enough to save the country and to take the presidency away from Mitch McConnell. You make a pretty poor case for Trump’s re-election. Co presidents Graham and McConnell would still be there and Trump would still be their powerless puppet, as you infer. If those swamp kings were running the show then, what’s to stop them from running his second administration? What did Trump get accomplished that stood one month after Biden was installed? Good work at VA, everything else (the results of executive actions) blown to smithereens by Biden’s executive orders. Don’t try to pass that Ryan/McConnell/CoC tax legislation off as a positive for middle America. It’s not. It was a failed presidency as soon as the executive orders were reversed. You can vote for another McConnell/Graham/Trump presidency. I think I can find someone with better prospects of not being totally emasculated by the DC GOP led swamp.

Like I said. The RNC ones he didn’t necessarily have control over. The RNC was using his name and popularity to raise money for the rest of the GOP. Face it. Trump could part the Red Sea, and it wouldn’t be good enough for you.

Trump could blow up a building and behead the survivors, ala Moslems, and you’d still be supporting him and making rationalizing excuses.

Sorry, that’s not true at all. And it has nothing to do with like or dislike for him personally. I just want the strongest, non-DC insider who can do the job. I also despise those who aren’t truthful about others, and I’m seeing a lot of that here. Pretty hateful stuff.

Among those of us who voted for Trump, there are those who wish he occasionally would just shut up, and those you savor every word that comes out of his mouth. There is no way to bridge that gap.

Before I saw him getting results, there was a time I wished he wouldn't aggravate people. But I am now reminded of that movie "Dr Strangelove."
