Tired of Trump! I'm So Ready For Someone Else!

Posted on 02/26/2022 8:31:44 PM PST by redheadedshannon

Voted for him twice! Love many things about him. However, I'm not the girl who's going to follow him over a cliff any more than I am the girl who worships the establishment Bushies! I want a populist CONSERVATIVE that can win & displays an ability to learn from mistakes and remembers that none of this is supposed to be about him! šŸ™„

I’m not looking for another four years of hyperventilating drama, abysmal talent selection, and strange, off the cuff comments on minutiae that only serves to distract. As much as we blame the left for the drama, Trump brought most of it on himself...

Historical Moment:

Remember when Clint Eastwood went to that town where the White gang was at war with the Mexican gang? And he fought them both and took 'em out? Fistfull of Dollars, maybe?

Well, anyway. There was a lot of drama during that time, as I recall. And the women and old men shut their windows and hid under the bed while he shot 'em up.

See if you can figure out the moral of this story.

Where is this cliff of which you speak, over which he wants you to follow?

But beyond that he sorta sucked at attempting to win voters over.

He won enough over to force the RATs into the most massive election fraud ever. Trump won, fraud prevailed.

If he ran with a new attitude and a little more political finesse he could have a chance.

That would render him just another politician, which was what we voted AGAINST by electing him.

No!Ā  It’s completely cult of personality, idol worship.

* * *

I've read through your several comments on this thread, and I believe you are quite mistaken about why the vast number of people support Trump.

Sure, to a small fringe of people, he's a cult figure.Ā  But don't mistake cult-like comments on FR as coming from cult-worshippers.Ā  If you support Trump, then saying great things about him is a fun and entertaining past-time.

Why not let your hair down, redheaded Beauty?Ā  There's a lot of humor Trump has injected into politics.Ā  Join in on the fun.Ā  That's what his rallies -- CPACs -- are all about.

The vast majority of conservatives love him for the RESULTS he has achieved and his LEADERSHIP of the country.

Regardless, we don't need some "polished" RINO like Romney, Ryan, Cruz, Naomi, and that ex-South Carolina governor whose name escapes me.Ā  That would be going back to the past where another OWNED POLITICIAN would be in office.

You talk about "walking into traps".Ā  Well, considering his job was to walk into a mine-field with all the Uniparty Dems and GOP against him, walking into a few traps was unavoidable.

But at least with Trump, he WALKED OUT OF THE TRAPS -- two impeachments tries, Russian gate, and countless other opposition-manufactured traps. If you don't move forward through the minefield, you'll never run into traps, but you'll also never accomplish anything.

That's why Trump had to be very careful about what people he chose in his Cabinet and he steadily inserted better people as time went on.Ā  He knew he could only move at a strategic pace -- not all at once -- because he had to win a portion of the RINOs to get anywhere.

And as for your claim that people are treating Trump as their "savior", how about the situation we're in right now?Ā  Kicked out of power by fraud and a genuine coup d'etat.Ā  That's certainly been a wake up call to say: one man serving another 4 years maximum as President does not guarantee our future.

But loss of power is a blessing in disguise.Ā  Patriots are rising up.Ā  That's certainly the case with me.Ā  I've stepped up my local work in support of MAGA and I never participated in politics before.Ā  Same for many, many other people, I think.

The rebound in November is bound to be a great one considering how badly the Dems are destroying the country -- and now that conservatives are letting their disgust be known.

And Trump continues to lead the charge.Ā  He's quite simply a competent, smart, and skillful leader.Ā  If he's not good enough for you, then I suggest you try finding Superman.Ā  But even Superman is bound to be too serious a guy and probably would be boring as President, and Mitch McConnell will run circles around him.

Do you honestly think bozos like Romney, Paul Ryan, and Christy can do a better job?

Grant was a commander in war, on the battlefield. Like Patton.

Trump was an overseer of the nation, not in the heat of battle.

Much different situation. And don’t give me that hyperbole that it’s the same.

See if you can figure out the moral of this story.

This would be an awesome scenario Bags, but the problem is, he had a chance to be a gun slinger the last time around and didn’t take a shot.

I’m not sure the next gun battle will be any more productive.

Strawman.

You automatically think Trump is the end-all be-all, AND that if one Is not YUGE on Trump, you’re a RINO…and want RINOs.

Heck, I’m not even confident of pure conservatism by Trump. His history, and his Apprentice show call many of his views into question alone.

I’ll vote for him is that’s the choice. I do not stay home and harumph. But he is not my favorite even now and I won’t vote for him primary unless there are only really bad choices.

He could have, in 2020 alone:

-put a damper on the hysteria over COVID (while not quipping about drugs early on he didn’t really know about…just like the disease in general) and suppressed Fauci and Birx and CDC a little….say, we don’t need to do all this excessive rules
-put a stop to the absurd rioting and commandeering all over the country, declaring dereliction of duty by the mayors and governors (I’ve already said this before about ā€œsanctuary citiesā€)

Yes, there are rules, but things got so absurd that as CIC he could’ve come down on this stuff. Esp. The riots.

So we’re not going back and forth about who is conservative and who’s not. Who’s a RINO and who’s not. Or who’s owned by Golden Sacks and who’s not.

Can you give me the names of two or three people who are better suited to be President than Trump?

Frankly, would rather be in a ‘cult’ of one who
loves his country than be in a cult of someone
who didn’t have a clue as to where he left his
pants when his last diaper was changed.

As to those included in his inner circle.
For a man never involved with politics/elections
until recently....
To determine the real from the memorix takes time
and work unto itself. This on top of running a
country when there are only 24 hours in a day.
The old saying keep your friends close and your
enemies closer begins to make sense when one delves
into Trump’s methods.

It’s NOT ā€œBig Pharmaā€.

It’s generally about medical facilities and doctors.

Don’t know all the details, and trust me I despise what has happened with these ā€œheroesā€ over this madness, but it is not about pharmaceutical companies. And I’m sure some ā€œprovidersā€ (hate that term) need SOME protection. It shouldn’t just be a free-for-all.

And, everyone is allowed some error.

Desantis for sure.

Rand Paul is also solid in his views and action.

They are also both much younger than Trump. Trump could be as senile as Biden at that point, never mind after.

You are absolutely right about outsiders not having a clue how things work in DC. Trump is example number one. You can not excuse what Barr and Wray were allowed to do. I knew it, you knew it, if Trump didn’t, he deserved what he brought about himself. Take a few minutes and look how Trump, using a six month acting pick (zero approval necessary), got John Ratcliffe approved. This is after McConnell refuse to even allow Ratcliffe a hearing. After Acting Director Rick Grenell began actually kicking deep state ass, McConnell couldn’t get Ratcliffe approved quick enough. Trump could have used this route to rid himself of any cabinet member and replaced them with whomever he wanted and could have done it again and again every six months. If Trump had fired Barr and put Rick Grenell in as acting AG in June of ā€˜20 Trump would be in office today. It has only gotten worse in DC, the swamp is even more entrenched. The limitations you spoke of, that Trump was unable to deal with, are still there, only greater in number and scope. Why would he fare any better the second time around?
