Voted for him twice! Love many things about him. However, I'm not the girl who's going to follow him over a cliff any more than I am the girl who worships the establishment Bushies! I want a populist CONSERVATIVE that can win & displays an ability to learn from mistakes and remembers that none of this is supposed to be about him! 🙄

I think there are plenty of other conservatives who could win in 2024, people younger than Trump would would be able to run for reelection in 2028 as well.
I think that DeSantis is the most powerful Governor of all of the states. Considering the flood of liberals who have fled the states they helped ruin with their commie dem votes, Fla needs to keep DeSantis for at least another term. He has been there from the beginning of the surge to his state and has the experience needed to influence and control, to a great extent, the political efforts by the commiedems to dominate the free state of Florida. DJT needs Fla support to win and Fla needs DJT to win and support their interests. DeSantis will be a good presidential candidate with 8 years of political experience governing the state of Florida. Florida has residents from around the US as well as foreign countries and that is a good training ground for a presidential candidate. Florida needs DeSantis and America needs Donald Trump.

I tried one several years before Las Vegas. Sort of stupid after running 30-40 rounds through it, I remember thinking that.
It was President Trump’s ATF that reclassified bump stocks that ended up getting it effectively banned. And he initially supported red flag laws until someone talked him off that ledge. He’s weak on the Second Amendment and that bears watching.

You know, for all the griping about women on FR I find it curious about my own limited experience.
I live in liberalland. If anything it is here that you dare not make a conservative remark in public, esp. around women.
Yet, on our local NextDoor and FaceBook threads where “political” comments can be made, it’s almost 100% local women who are chewing out others on masking, mandates, section 8 housing, etc. I belong to several local/regional anti-mask and anti-CRT groups on FB (several which have real meetings), and 95% of the posting about who masks and who doesn’t, what school did what about racist education, etc, are women!
I KNOW it’s not scientific and controlled, but that’s my view. And it’s no less valid than the many times FR posts similar anecdotes.

Actually, we don’t need “polished” at all. Romney is polished. Paul Ryan was polished two. Ted Cruz is polished. And each and everyone of them is owned and paid for by Golden Sacks and the rest of the Wall Street oligarchs.
Trump has a perfect persona for the Leader of the Free World. Tough, smart, and can turn on the charm in situations that require it.
