Voted for him twice! Love many things about him. However, I'm not the girl who's going to follow him over a cliff any more than I am the girl who worships the establishment Bushies! I want a populist CONSERVATIVE that can win & displays an ability to learn from mistakes and remembers that none of this is supposed to be about him! 🙄

Well said. I think Trump learned how to react to unfair criticism when operating his business. Very few have picked up on Trump’s method of operation from the perspective of a business leader.

I'll answer this post and #181 in one post, if I may, to save space.
If I had been in Trump's shoes I think I could have managed not to tell the families of the (at the time) 140,000 Americans dead of COVID that their loved ones died of a Democratic hoax. That was an unforced error. He did walk back that statement, but the damage was done.
I think I could have managed to cut taxes for the working-class voters who voted me into office, especially as the economy was doing so well for most of Trump's presidency. Even W managed to cut taxes and he was no Einstein.
This may just be a personal peeve of mine, but most people also don't appreciate receiving multiple emails a day begging for donations from the exact same politicians who shrugged as their taxes increased.
I wish Trump well, but I could not muster the same enthusiasm for the man in 2020 as in 2016. He promised us the moon, and failed to deliver. Sure, the Rats obstructed him, but he also didn't do much for the conservative cause even before the Rats retook Congress in 2018. We need someone who can work with the rest of the Republican party, not snap his fingers and expect everyone else to obey. Who does he think he is? Vladimir Putin?

I voted for Trump twice and if it comes down to it, ill vote for him again. I just can’t handle the cult of personality worship that so many push. Desantis. Well OK. He’s my second choice. In fact, he would be a great choice for Vice President. Let him get seasoned for a term and he can run in 2028.
A lot of speculation in your statement but focusing on the DeSantis would never let the DS do to him what they did to Trump is just an ignorant statement. You have no idea what Trump was up against. DeSantis wouldn’t have handled any better. No one could have. They’d be in a straight jacket, bankrupt or dead. The tough guy keyboard warriors here have clue what DC is like. They wouldn’t last 5 minutes. It’s a town full of sociopaths. Trump is not a sociopath. That he’s able to fight them at all is mind boggling and needed.

My only problem with Donald Trump is his age! I’m bothered by all politicians who are 80 years old and older, who are in office and including all politicians who I agree with, politically. Donald Trump could end up dying, during his campaigning or during his return to office. He could end up dying naturally, but way too many conspiracy theorists won’t allow THAT to happen. Nobody is perfect, unfortunately, and Donald Trump is too old.
