We know that Ukraine exists as a money-laundering operation for the Biden family and the deep-state/cabal... But does it exist as a nation or anything like that??

Since Russia is the legal successor of the USSR (this is confirmed by the decisions of international courts on property disputes between the former USSR and foreign countries), the lands on which Ukraine, Belarus and Novorossiya are located belong to Russia, and nobody has the right to to dispose of this area without Russia's consent. Basically, now all Russia has to do is declare that this area is Russian and that everything that happens in this area is an internal matter of Russia. Any interference will be seen as a measure against Russia. On this basis, they can annul the elections of May 25, 2014 and do what the people want! According to the Budapest Memorandum and other agreements, Ukraine has no borders. The state of Ukraine does not exist (and has never existed!).
Our wretched "leaders" have to be aware of this. Trying to imagine the chutzpah it must take for them to holler and cry the way they do about the evil Vladimir Putin wanting to protect ethnic Russians from the machinations of the neo-nazis that Soros, Obama, and Nuland put in charge of Kiev eight years ago.

Does any wayward child of a nation have a legal basis other than the desire to be free from the parent and stating, “I exist.” I would not look for a justification based upon settled law.
I looked at the Wikipedia entry for the Ukraine a couple of days ago, and it’s been an unstable region for more than a thousand years, being tugged at by Poland, the Austrian Empire, the Ottoman Empire, and both Tsarist and Soviet Russia, among others. Its borders have been in almost constant flux.

What is the basis for a people deserving their own nation. Is it by fighting for it, as we did in 1776, or by treaty, as was the case after WWI with the countries that comprised the Austo-Hungarian Empire?

Which reminds me that when Kamala Harris spoke in Europe the other day, it sounded like she thought that there had been no war in Europe since WWII. She seemed unaware of the 1990s Balkan conflict which lasted three years and took more than 150,000 lives.
