Taiwan is closely watching the situation in the narrow strait that separates it from China and raising its preparedness in response to what is happening with Ukraine, the government said on Saturday, though it added the two cases were very different.
China, which claims Taiwan as its own territory, has stepped up military activity near the self-governing island over the past two years, though Taiwan has reported no unusual manoeuvres by Chinese forces in recent days as tensions over Ukraine have spiked.
Taiwan last month reported the largest incursion since October by China's air force, with the island's defence ministry saying Taiwanese fighters scrambled to warn away 39 aircraft.
Those flights have continued on an almost daily basis but with far fewer aircraft: Taiwan reported just five were involved in a mission on Saturday.

Different, but related in the sense that U.S. weakness is part of the overall dynamic.
The problem is with people like Biden, is eventually they get tired of hearing they are weak, and then eventually overcompensate.
Like with Corn Pop or asking an old man at one of his rallies to step outside to do pushups.
After Taiwan next comes Iranian aggression after it gets the bomb.
A lot of bad stuff is going down during the next three years.

Today's American military represents LGBT Pride, CRT, and "Diversity is Our Strength." It's also an arm of the Deep State, ready to repress patriots at home.
The Soviet defeat in Afghanistan led to the collapse of the USSR. The people lost faith in the system. They saw that the system was weak and corrupt.
Similarly, American military defeats will weaken Biden and the Deep State. It's unfortunately, but things might have to get worse before they get better.
What conservatives should do is avoid military service, and raise their children to avoid military service. Don't feed the beast.

If Putin is successful in achieving his strategic goal in Ukraine by using military force, it will put enormous pressure on Xi. Factions within the Communist Party and the Chinese military will pressure Xi to take Taiwan by force if no other reason not to look puny compared to Russia. However Xi knows that his huge army lacks combat experience and all those Chinese made ships and warplanes have never been seen in combat. An invasion across 90 miles of open ocean is not guaranteed success. Xi knows that in the event of failure, Xi himself, his family and his cronies will be deposed none too gently. The corrupt Communist Party, given social, economic and political disorder could face a military coup.
Xi may be secretly wishing that Putin does not exercise military force.
You could say the same about Taiwan. They're not like the Israelis
