Big Man on Campus: Lia Thomas Breaks Another Record, Dominates Ivy League Women’s Championships

It’s another day ending in ‘Y,” which means that transgender UPenn swimmer Lia Thomas must have broken another Ivy League women’s swimming record, and that is exactly what happened.

On Saturday, yet another female athlete who dedicated her life to her sport was unceremoniously erased from the record books as Lia Thomas, a man identifying as a woman, took first in the 100m race. That victory, his third of the meet, along with wins in the 200m and 500m, made for three first-place finishes.

All that winning made Thomas the High-Point Swimmer of the Meet by attaining the maximum 96 points.

Never mind his mother, what is his father saying? I know what you men in here would say but we have heard nothing from this parents. I’m not surprised.

The fathers of the girls on this team need to speak up too. Allowing their daughters to share a dressing room with this man? Time to pull funding from that school alumni parents.

Also this is a case were we need real men in society to stand up for these women and protect them. This is too much.

Nah I’ve been gone. Got hit hard after 2020 and needed to walk away from it all for an extended time.

I wanted blood and I would have gotten kicked off the board for my comments until I came to terms with things and calmed down.

What is wrong with this guy? He wants to dress like a girl, well OK. But what pleasure is there in competing against women? He hasn't achieved anything. Zilch. Would DiMaggio, Pete Rose, or Greg Maddux take pleasure in beating a little league team? Women athletics are a pleasure to watch, but what pleasure is there if a male ringer is competing?
